I have compiled a list of the Roms and Mods that are available.
Special Thanks to BH_MAN, Nu11u5,
=KLRS=ZERO, bleufox99 for most of this info.

PLEASE don't ask questions about them in this thread...Use appropriate link below!

Number 1 RULE when Changing Rom's....
1. Fully Charge Before doing an ODIN....
2. Let It Fully Die and Power Off & Charge Full while Off..
3. Doing the above will Show major Improvements!

Basic tools:

1- Android 1.5 with Touchwiz stock files!!

**This is the factory default setup for the Behold II**

*Use this at any time to go back to how your phone was when you bought it.*

  • This will provide you with the basic items (Behold.ops, Odin Multi downloader and USB drivers) that are vital for almost all the following links.

2- Android 1.6 with Touchwiz!

  • Thanks to Mark TWain for this!
  • Same as when you bought the phone but now in 1.6 and uses the new Kernel.
  • All the features for 1.6 work! (Navigation, Google Goggles, updated Market, etc.)

3- Alternate USB Drivers.

  • These also work for WIN 7.

4- For basic info on what the differences between Android Versions are please see the following links:

Roms and Mods:

1- BH_MAN's Stock Android 1.5 Rom using the Galaxy Rom.

  • This the Stock Android 1.5 Rom using Samsung's i7500 Galaxy phone.
  • There are also 2 Themed versions via that link.
  • Also this is not being updated and is also more complicated to install compared to the others.

2- BH_MAN's Android 1.5 Behold 2 Stock (NO Touchwiz)

  • This is a nice mod that removes most of the annoying and heavy additions Samsung added but retains most of the good things they added. See the link for pictures.

  1. bleufox99's Super Blue version of BH_MAN's Behold 2 Stock (NO Touchwiz)

  • A blue version similar to the one BH_MAN made for his Android 1.5 Galaxy Rom.

3- BH_MAN's Android 1.6 Behold 2 Stock (NO Touchwiz)

  • Just like the 1.5 no TouchWiz
  • This is a nice mod that removes most of the annoying and heavy additions Samsung added but retains most of the good things they added.
  • See the link for pictures.

  1. microhaxo's Mods of the Android 1.6 Behold 2 No TouchWiz

  • microhaxo's theme alterations of the No TW Rom.
  • Over 4 different themes to chose from.
  • See the link for pictures.

4- BH_MAN's Stock Android 1.6 from the Galaxy's Android 1.6 Kernel

  • This is the Stock Android 1.6 Rom.
  • Although it is still stock there are some welcome enhancements.
  • A blue version similar to the one BH_MAN made for his Android 1.5 Galaxy Rom except now for Android 1.6.
  • Some graphical modifications to BH_MAN's Galaxy 1.6 R8.
  • See link for pictures.

5- Hero ROM Ported to Behold II by BH_MAN (ON HOLD at the moment)

  • Uses the the popular Sense UI User Interface created by HTC
  • The UI used on Spirnt's Hero, Verizon's Droid Eris and Rogers' Magic.
  • Also includes: Integrated facebook support, better contact integration with facebook/twitter, better dialer, 7 screens instead of 3, Adobe Flash Lite, better functioning widgets.
  • The Rom runs Android 1.5 so you will lose anything that 1.6 brought like Navigation, Goggles, Buzz and the new market.

6- Android 2.1 on Behold 2 by BH_MAN!! (Work in Progress)

  • Everything you were jealous about the Droid and Nexus One users having comes to the Behold 2!
  • More info as it is released.

Advanced Tools

1. Info on Apps to SD (a2sd)

  • Before changing Roms while using Apps to SD use the following command and then power down:
  • adb shell
    cd /system/sd/app-private
    rm -r *
  • If you didn't do that then:
  • At anytime you get the Black screen, you Can do this from adb shell!

    1. Boots & goes to black screen
    2. Plug usb into computer
    3. Open a Command prompt
    4. adb shell
    5. cd /system/sd/app-private
    6. rm -r *
    7. cd /system/sd/dalvik-cache
    8. rm -r *
    9. reboot

2. Rooted and ADB Ready Kernel

  1. Android 1.5 (with or without Touchwiz)
  2. Android 1.6

  • Install this so you can enable Root-Full ADB Access-Root Permission's for App's Set By User.
3. Creating Custom Roms and Backups for Odin

  • A Very Nice and thorough guide to creating Custom Roms and Backups for use with Odin by Nu11u5.

This should probably be stickied ... nice job.

Although I would probably categorize the Superblue versions under themes.

Yeah I was debating that... But at the same time was also trying to make it seem like a running timeline from oldest to newest.

This is great a list of everything instead of having to go through all the threads. Great work :)

Thanks that was goal I was hoping for.

Deff Sticky worthy. For the section of themes you should have the main none themed one then the theme links under the proper ones in quote text to keep it organized.

Stock #1 1.6 <--- Link to original none theme.
Stock #1 Theme Blue <--- Link to theme
Stock #1 Theme Fonzi <----- Link to other theme
Stock #2 2.1 <--- Link to original none theme.
Stock #2 Theme Red
Stock #2 Theme pineapple

I actually kinda like that way better. I'll probably redo this Tuesday since Monday is full for me most the time.

EDIT: OK Reformatted and changed a few descriptions.

Samsung doesn't have a Hero and it's not the UI being ported it's the whole rom. Also should be noted it's based off of the 1.5 system.

Oppsie, Meant to put Sprint.
As for the Hero Rom part I think I need more info on what this actually means. Essentially porting the Hero Rom means we're getting Sense UI. What else is added?
