Any Exchange Improvements in 2.1?

I havent noticed any changes either. I really heavily on my phone for work email via exchange. I highly suggest getting Touchdown. I recommended it to coworkers with Android phones as well and within hours of testing with the trial app, they purchased the full version.

Touchdown is, by far, the best Exchange email client I've ever used. I like it way better than the iPhone or BB email clients. You can do everything with it. I think it might even be more functional than OWA...

Just buy it...

One of the issues that was not addressed in 2.1 s the ability to accept/decline .ics appointments is the ability to accept/decline .ics appointments on the calendar. This may be insignificant to some, but as a business user, this is really annoying. *.ICS appointment file requests are used by Google Calendar, Apple ICal, and Mozilla Sunbird, but if someone sends me an appointment on my GMail, I cannot accept or decline that appointment from my droid. FAIL! Google should really address this issue. It seems ike this would be relatively easy. There are some like this would be relatively easy. There are some"workarounds" like downloading an app from the Market, saving the ics file on the SD card and using the app to load it. The one I'm using is setting up GMail to accept all calendar requests. setting up GMail to accept all calendar requests. However, now I have to go through my calendar every day and delete those that I would have declined. However, now I have to go through my calendar However, now I have to go through my calendar every day and delete those that I would have declined. While I think the Droid is still superior to other smartphones, this just reinforces the fact that it's more of a toy than a business tool, and the Blackberry is more of a business tool than a toy. If someone knows of a method around this, please let me know

The truly sad thing is that 2.1 doesn't add support for Exchange pin and remote wipe. This should be native to the phone or they should not be able to advertise that it supports Exchange.

I noticed on the custom 2.1 ROM for the Sprint Hero (Fresh 2.0d) that I get stuck using a password/PIN to unlock the phone after I setup the Exchange account.

The Droid 2.1 should have also added that little "Bonus".

BTW, LockPicker removes that obstacle quite nicely.

I have a Motorola Milestone (well my boss does) and i MUST sync with exchange for his contacts and calendar to work (plus to send and receive mails) but Jesus lord almighty, that "password" lock thing is annoying as hell. On my HTC desire, the app "lockpicker" works perfectly, but not on Milestone.

Does ANYONE know of a workaround for the password lock on milestone running exchange?
