well after flashing frozen rom this morning on 100% battery, installed fine, booted up, rebooted as suggested. and now here's the interesting part. once it was in the process of rebooting, splash screen came up and everything just goes black. won't power back on, won't charge, isn't even recognized by laptop when plugged in, can't even get to the bootloader.

i do beleive i've got a brick on my hands :/

and it's off to the sprint store tomorrow.

Don't be so sure, not easy to brick an 3VO. plug it in the charger and leave it plugged in for a while, if I get a chance when done at work i will see what we can do, I will also see if Scotty is around, I am swamped here at work right now, but i will send him a quick PM

Wow that Sounds like a really odd prollem! Had you gotten to s offing yet? Or are you still s on?

Brian got his phone Stuck in a deep sleep mode.. the fix was to plug in to a wall charger (not a pc) for at least 8 hours.

Are you gettng found device noises when you plug in? Try holding vol down/power while plugged in,and see if you get any noises then.

Try pulling the battery for a couple minutes, then try hboot again.

Sounds like its either in deep sleep,or in qualcom diagnostic mode.(you'll see qhusb_download in device manager). But it also could be some wierd, random hardware failure,or battery failure.

Ill ponder for a bit and see if I can come up with anything else. :)

Oops. I meant to reply to this earlier and got side tracked. I was going to mention the deep sleep. I left it plugged into the wall all night. Then in the morning there was still no charging light or any response. I did a battery pull and it started right up.

Also, while rooting an Inspire I had a similar issue (probably a long shot) but I couldn't get to the bootloader and it wasn't making any noise when I plugged it into the computer but sure enough when I typed adb reboot bootlader it took me right to the bootloader. Screen was black and no response but the command worked.

That is exactly why I asked him yo leave it plugged into the charger. The Deep sleep mode is a know issue of some rooted device. It also happened to me a few times on the my old HTC Hero back in the day. He said he would be out for the night, so lets see what happens in the AM. I was swamp today so had no time. hopefully we can get him squared away.

so far its still dead, picked up a gs2 from craigs list for now
i guess sprint isnt gonna do anything for you?

i see cdma 3ds frequently for $75-$175 if you want to pm me a price range id be happy to keep an eyeball open and pick one up for ya.

or,or it may be an excuse to pick up a 4g LTE :D

Ive done everything suggested above, cant get it to power on for nothing.

that sucks, bro. so i guess no "i found something new!" pc noises? nothing show up in device manager? :(

lol so far im content with the gs2 i got today till i can find an ltevo for a reasonable price :p

And no, no pc noises when hooked up :(

Well if you tried everything suggested above, I do not know what else you can do, you can have Sprint check it out, they maybe able to find you a refurbished one, they still have them here. Maybe Scotty will think of something else.

I actually took it to sprint today to see what they could do, only htc device they was the ltevo and they absolutely wasnt liking the idea of me switching out for that lol

Now to get back on topic with the thread a ROM, is anyone else having issues with the FroZen Rom ??

Lol, everyone is probably too scared to flash it now...

But for real, it's possible it was a corrupt download. Always important to verify the md5. It really bugs me when the md5 isn't offered. It literally takes a few seconds to generate.

I hope all I had was a corrupt file, I haven't seen any reports of other bad happenings like this.

Not giving up hope though ;)

Md5 is important though. A corrupt download can brick your phone. I feel bad for ya. I am eligible for upgrade but don't even want to. I'd miss my 3vo too much! You should throw a bigger fit and demand an LTEvo

The question is did you root it yet ? :D

Have you also checked the MD5 on the file you flashed to your 3vo to see if it was corrupted, I would be very curious.

I should demand an LT3vo but that'd be pointless :p

One thing I will say about this device, it's got some massive storage, 2gig internal, 14gig internal sd on top of my new 30gig sd card I bought.
