It's a galaxy note II that I own. It's interesting what you are saying about the first 50% dropping faster than the last 50%. By not using it much I get it down to about 30% by the end of the day - I haven't taken it below this level yet.
What's the total amount of time that you last?
And I noticed that you mentioned that you have work emails pushed to your phone. I can tell you right away, that alone is a battery hog. I don't acheive the 24 hour+ numbers that everybody else does, but I have a lot of background sync/push emails/sync emails going in the background on my phone, and I get anywhere from 12-17 hours of use consistently.
And if you haven't let it go below 30%, then you really haven't used the battery to its full capabilities. Just to give you an example, my phone has dropped 10% from 30>20...in the past 3 hours!...That's with a ton of push emails coming from work, as well as twitter text message notifications for people that I follow that I want to be aware posted something right away. Today hasn't been a very good example because I've had extremely heavy use compared to normal (so I'm right around 11 hours of battery use), but you still should be able to get to 12 hours (even with a lot of background sync and email pushes).
