No BluRay? Hmpf!

This looks like the ultimate stocking stuffer for gearheads this Christmas.

I had a friend who owned a GN back when they were giving Mustangs a run for the money. I never saw a GNX on the street, which is good because I had a Mustang! My other car was a Buick Regal, but its anemic 301 CID Pontiac motor couldn't get it out of its own way. GM turbocharged that motor too, but I doubt that any films will be made of that.

Honestly I don't know which was the greatest accomplishment: turning a Buick Regal into something that could beat supercars on the drag strip, or the fact that they ran the GNX motor in real Indy cars!

Even those early hot air GNs were sleepers, easy 9sec cars with simple mods, 7sec going all out but still drive it to churck on sunday.

The blackout paint job and chrome delete did give the staid Regal a whole new perspective. OTOH my powder blue Regal that I got from a genuine little old lady who actually drove it to church every Sunday (and looked all the part) would have made a great sleeper. At the time there were conversion kits to drop a 500 CID Cadillac motor into them, with headers, hi-po heads and other goodies that made over 600+ BHP and fit under the stock hood.
