should i be worried about any apps i download ??

I have not ticked the box in application settings for 'allow non-market applications' so was hoping this would be ok.

The things that concern me are the exclamation marks that come up when downloading.

how safe are we?

Non market applications arent a problem as long as you know what you are downloading.

I have no idea what exclamation marks your talking about.

Your phone is not gonna catch a virus if thats what your scared about.

oh sorry, I mean as i go to download it says..

'this application has access to the following'....

then say things like...
can change wi-fi state, prevent phone from sleeping,
or services that cost you money directly call numbers .

I was just concerned when reading these warnings before download.

Oh okay i get you. Well I really dont know what to tell you there, except i have downloaded tons of apps and I have only had one issue with lock screen app which turned off my HTC sense but it was more of a scare than anything else. You shouldnt have to worry about any app as long as you know what your downloading. You can also do your research on the app on the web and if you ever have a problem with any of them, post it up on the forum and we will try our best to help you out with it.
