Where's JellyBean???

This, what is the big deal about JellyBean? Anyone enlighten me?

Battery Improvements, Project Butter (meaning it's a lot smoother than ICS), USB OTG Support, it uses the Linux kernel version 3, an improved notification system and Google Now.

There's probably more, but those are the main points.

Project butter that makes everything run as smooth as it should have been under ICS.

Google Now integration looks nice.

Better less bulky version of sense.

Better notification bar layout.

Probably other features i'm missing but those are the important ones for me.
My one X runs great on 4.0.4 but JB will make it even better and I want that. Why would you not want you phone to be better in some way...

edit - bah beaten to the punch by 12 whole minutes... shows how long it took me to read that :p

I'm not sure what they're like with updates, but you'll probably be waiting a bit longer than unbranded, sorry.

Rogers pushing Jelly Bean to HTC One X and more in January

January for those in Canada by the looks of things, not sure if it will be before or after At&t.

i have a rogers One X, BUT. it is unlocked and running on telus, so will i have to wait for telus to get jellybean? or will it still get the rogers jellybean update in jan? if anyone knows let me know, thanks

I received the JB update (4.1.1, Sense 4+) about two weeks ago now, I live in Canada but I bought an unlocked/unbranded One X from Singapore. Btw my carrier is Rogers. There are notable increases in performance and project butter definitely shows. There are slight revisions to the notification bar and colours, but no need to worry, as these changes are very minor.

The next thing is a 'Power Saver' mode, which brings me to the battery life. My battery life has been destroyed by this update. Even with Power saver on, with moderate usage it dies by 7PM. (Being unplugged at 7AM). This is a major issue. I'm not sure if it's just my One X, but I had terrific battery life on 4.0.4.

Let me know what you think when you receive the update.

Try doing a hard re-set. It could improve the battery life. After all this was a major update.

Cheers.
