im going to be upgrading my phone and thinking of doing at best buy so i can attempt to get a price match from amazon

few questions

do i have to activate the phone right then and there in the store, need to know this cause if i go on a certain day or time of day i dont want to switch to a new phone on the spot i would want to do it on my own time

other questions what insurance kind of options does best buy offer and are there any differences between theres and verizons

online at there site i can only upgrade and take on a share everything plan since im losing my unlimited i figure in store i could choose just the regular tier data as my plan correct?

No, you should be able to buy the phone and then activate it on your own. I am 99% sure of this.

Best buy offer insurance and it is a little different than Verizon's

This depends on if your on a family plan or not. If you are the primary on a family plan or a single line than share everything is your only option. If you are the secondary on a family share then you will have an option to chose a data plan.

Correct...it is FAR worse. Google "Best buy black tie protection" and you'll see what I'm talking about.
You can get Asurion coverage even if you buy the phone from Best Buy. You can also get insurance from Square Trade or potentially through your insurance carrier (which is probably the best goal).

Although to be honest, unless you're getting it from your insurer and they offer a good price as a benefit to their customers, you have to be very careless with your phones to make insurance worth it.
