anyone found a way to boost overall volume on Nexus 7 aka grouper WIFI model with the latest 4.2.1? there is apparently a hardware issue that has prevented google from an "authorized" fix thus far...

If you've found a good tip/trick/app/mod for this please chime in

Thx. Do you know a way to monitor them re the release?

what i would do is install it on my phone (i have gingerbread) and when the app updates itself on my phone i will see if it will finally install on my N7. or you could try to side load it from there website. (its free on there website i think its audiohacks.com or something like that.)

Wow... for anyone searching this topic, for Nexus 7 with 4.2.1, go quickly to the Playstore and install Noozoxide.
Oh My!

I got wind of this through some of the purely developmental/experimental/custom fixes for sound. Found it on the google play store and thought, may as well try it, I hate the sound as-is.
I figured it would have no effect or maybe not work at all. WRONG!

just do it before its pulled or becomes really expensive... its worth a few bucks.

the same outfit had a player up on the app store but google pulled it. I think Noozoxide is the meat of the issue, however - the player was just a control point. the underlying audio processor etc works as best I can tell with all my apps: music player, MX PLAYER [that was the biggie for me... very poor audio due to nex 7 shortcomings] ... the diff is incredible.

still playing around with settings, and the only caveat is that nothing can fix the nexus 7's builtin crappy speaker... it is lame. go listen to an ipad mini and you'll see.

get this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.noozxoidelabs.eizo.rewirepro&hl=en :D
