2. Should i root this?
3. Which phone looks better?
4. Which phone is truly faster (like loading apps and stuff not on paper ,but in RL)
5. Which is slimmer and lighter?
6. Which one do you prefer and why?
7. Which has a smoother feel to the phone in general?

1. Are there a lot of messaging errors? or errors in general?
-None, whatsoever.
2. Should i root this?
-You should always root your phones! but if you can't/don't want to then its not required. This is one of the phones that I actually can use unrooted, however I always take the rooted route (no pun intended).
3. Which phone looks better?
-That's up to you. The S2 is a pretty nice looking phone though.
4. Which phone is truly faster (like loading apps and stuff not on paper ,but in RL)
-This is like comparing apples to oranges. They are different because their OS's are completely different.
5. Which is slimmer and lighter?
-The S2 is both slimmer and lighter. The screen is also much bigger (MUCH bigger).
6. Which one do you prefer and why?
-Well considering this is android forums after all I think you know the answer to that. I personally prefer android (I've used both) because of the customization and ability to make your phone however you like.
7. Which has a smoother feel to the phone in general?
-They're both about the same in my opinion.
p.s i am deciding on which on to buy from VM and can't decide so could you please help? :)

Go with the S2. You won't regret it (you can trust me on that). It has a huge screen for a really great web browsing experience, it's plenty fast for any smartphone user. You have to remember this phone was top of the line when it came out. Also its $200 cheaper than the iphone. I mean who doesn't want to save $200 for the better phone?!

is it hard to root? is the phone almost as good as the triumph? can it use hotspots? also do you recommend any apps for the phone for saving bsattery? thanks in advance

no its not hard to root in my opinion. the triumph isn't even in the same league as this phone(in android build and in processor type/speed, the SII is dual core) YES THIS PHONE IS A WORLD BETTER THAN THE TRIUMPH! Juice defender = best battery saving app.

P.S Apple cant even compare in quality like android imho

I'll throw in on this...my mom has a 4S and I've got the S2.

Performance: Doesn't matter. I've run some demanding apps on both (including Autodesk's Inventor Publisher, ForceEffect Motion, AutoCAD WS browsing some 2+ Gb CAD files) and both run fine. According to CPU Spy, I spend very little time above 800Mhz on the processor on the GS2, and I haven't come across anything that slows down the 4S.

Feel/Quality: GS2 is bigger, thinner, lighter and has a significantly bigger screen. No complaints about the material or construction quality at all. That said, for some reason the 4S, being smaller and heavier, just feels a little more solid. It's a little easier to hold and operate, especially if you like using the phone 1-handed. I'm a big guy with big hands (10.5" span) and my GS2 can be a little awkward one handed sometimes.

I would say the only real deciding factor would be whether you prefer Android or iOS (and cost, if you like iOS enough to pay Apple's markup for it).
