I just got this phone yesterday and am trying to learn how to use it, lol!! It is amazing the technology in such a small device. Anyway I have my screen to stay on for 1 min, but I usually turn off the screen by hitting the red off button when I am done using the phone. I noticed that if I am on the phone for longer than a minute the screen goes black. In order for me to hang up I have to get the screen to come back on. Is there a option to keep the display lit while on a call, but still turn it off after 1 min while using other functions? Sorry for the dumb question but I am a bit over whelmed by this phone. I missed the computer age in school by about 20 years. Thanks for the help and for this forum.

There are several options. Go to the Market, and search for the following apps. They are both free.

Screebl
Screen On

Both of these will do exctly what you want. I use Screen On, as it will also allow the screen to stay on while using the browser, (and any other app you choose). Screeble seems more complicated, but many Hero users like it.

Well that wasn't to hard. I downloaded the app. I couldn't get it to start until I tapped on the notification window and that started the program. Is this right or did I do something wrong? It opened the program and I selected the phone and browsing. I will see how it works. Thanks for your help. I also downloaded a Movie app that senses my location and finds the local theaters near me. You can view trailers, see show times and even buy tickets. Simply amazing!!! I probably sound like a caveman to some in this forum, lol!!!
Thanks Again

You got it! For future reference, you can access any app (or program) on you phone by touching the UP arrow on the home screen.

Again, glad I could help! Enjoy!

It can be a bad thing to have the screen on during a call because you can accidentally press the end call or mute buttons with your cheek. The easiest way to hang up the phone when the screen is off is to press the red end call hardware button twice (once wakes the phone up, twice hangs up the call)
