I have Galaxy S3 that I have successfully paired with my 2008 Prius. But I can't get the phone book transferred. I go the one of the phone book groups & it tells me to have my phone transfer my phone book to the Prius. I can't find any option on the S3 to do this.

Has anyone been able to do this??

Normally when you pair the device to a car stereo it pops up and asks if you want to download the phone book. it asks this on the car stereo, not the cell phone. You may have to turn it on within your car stereo settings or your car stereo may not support it.

If the G3 gets a request to upload your address book it will do so automatically.

Hi Phuztone. When you pair your bluetooth with your prius your droid phone will have a notification on the top of your phone. It will say something about the phone book download and you have to accept the request manually and check the box on the notification so it does this automatically everytime it pairs up. You can alao go into your prius stereo headunit after the droid is synced up and click settings, general or bluetooth to check for a phonebook sync. Lastly check out Toyota.com - Connect to verify the phoenbook transfer is available to your headunit. I believe this is only possible on the premium unit. Goodluck.

I am having the same problem with my 2012 Prius. My Droid 2 Global worked just great and my husband's Samsung Galaxy S3 works fine, but my phonebook does not sync. I get maybe 30% of the numbers. For a while, only Google contacts for which I had no phone number transferred. I did a factory reset and I now have a few contacts with phone numbers. Sadly, my husband and six most frequently contacted numbers don't sync. Before the factory reset, I unpaired and repaired and unpaired again. Toyota swears it isn't a problem with the car and the fact that other phones work would reinforce that, but Verizon says there is no history of this problem. Their best guess was to swap out the phone for a reconditioned one. HELP!!!

I've had the Verizon HTC Rezound paired with 2013 Prius audio and the limit is 1000 contacts, I believe it pulls from the Google phone book first. So I only get contacts up to the letter E.... this is not a good limitation on the head unit from Toyota with Entune - but it is what it is. So the debate is over... Toyota needs to get their head unit to accommodate the larger phone books of business users.

I haven't checked how many names in my address book, but the names that come over are sporadic. ICE husband is in, Dicksons are out. Woodhouse is in, Robert is not. Strangest dang thing.. Switched phones and the same problem. I now voice dial on phone and let the bluetooth take over. Sigh...
