Waiting for AT&T to push Multi-Window Update Today...but first, a question...

6:10am Eastern. No update pushed yet.

That's fine. Been patient for this long waiting for AT&T to finally push a software update allowing multi-window use on the Note II.

Thing is, now that I have checked for a software update this morning, all further checks come with a message:

Current software is up to date. You may check again in 22hours and 44minutes.

When the software update finally gets pushed later today will software update allow me to check for it or do I have to wait the time out?

This may be a real stupid question, but I rarely do any updates on this phone because AT&T rarely pushes any.

Will there be an update notice in the pull-down notification area?

I tried mine and now have to wait 20 hours to check again. I remember reading somewhere that there is a way to reset the clock so I can check again bypassing the 24 hour window. anyone have any idea on how this is done?

Google does wonders! I unchecked the automatic time/date in my phone and changed it to Saturday. Checked for updates and it is available.

Hoping someone can help out...

It seems like AT&T (or perhaps all the carriers) are only allowing you to check their server for an update once per day.

I am finding in order to keep checking to see if my phone is getting today's update is to turn off the auto date and time, manually change the date forward, and then do another software check.

So far I am up to January 7, 2013.

Really, is there a better way to do this?

Its not the 4.1.2 update. Its just an OTA for multi Window feature.

My phone says 4.1.2

Well then I may be mistaken. I do know the video you linked with 4.1.2 is for international versions. With the way each carrier is handling features a 4.1.2 update for AT&T may be different than others. Was there an official change log put out by AT&T covering what else was in update.

I wasn't expecting 4.1.2 either from the posts I've seen. I know the video I linked to is the international version, but one can still be hopeful. :)

Slow update but finally done!

Sadly the ink effect still does not work. Lots of nice colors to choose from but not so awesome if it doesn't work!

You have to use the S-Pen on the lock-screen. I think it only works on the "swipe screen to unlock" screen. My work enforces a PIN lock through exchange and the ink effect doesn't work when I have to enter my PIN.

I am on Verizon which allows me to check as often as I like but when I used to be on AT@T I remember having this issue. I don't remember exactly how to do it but I do remember that if you go to settings, applications, all that there is an app listed in their for checking for updates. Just click on that app and then clear cache and it will allow you to check for updates each time you do this without having to change your clock on your device. Sorry that I can't remember the app name though but should be fairly obvious when you spot it.
