Help Incredible 4G - Bluetooth Sound Quality

How have other people experienced the quality of the bluetooth on the DInc4G?

I upgraded from the OG Droid, which was always crystal clear using Bluetooth, on multiple different devices. However, when using bluetooth on the DInc4g, the person I'm talking to sounds like they are under water, very muffled and hard to understand. I have also heard complaints that there was a lot of background noise being picked up from me as well.

Anybody else have this same issue? I know owners of other devices have complained about the quality after the upgrade to a new ICS build. Wanted to see if this was a widespread problem before I went to Verizon to get a new phone or anything like that.

I'm having pretty much the same problem... people can hardly hear me when I'm using the bluetooth in my car. It used to work fine on my old Droid. Did you ever get this resolved?

Interesting..... I was having problems too. My Motorola h720 worked great on my old droid but sucked on my Dinc4g. Decided to try a updated BT with A2DP so I can listen to audio streaming too. so I bought a Blueant Q2 headset. What a difference! Works great for phone calls and audio with good volume and clarity. Maybe just getting a more up to date spec headset with A2DP made the difference (?) but it's definately not a BT problem with the Dinc4g.

BUT..... there is another problem related to the Dinc4g. The BlueAnt Q2 BT has software to allow text to speech for SMS. But either ICS or HTC (cause it's tweaked for Sense 4.0 performance) will kill it a few minutes after you boot up. Only way to restart it is a reboot so that makes it useless. I talked to BlueAnt support to see if they have any idea what's going on, and they are useless for help. My guess is it may be related to the lack of true mult-tasking that everyone has complained about on the Dinc4g. It's like a task killer is running but it isn't anything I have installed! Any ideas greatly appreciated.........

I cannot get a bluetooth headset to work with this phone. Everyone I talk to complains about the sound quality. The only constant is the phone. I swapped it out twice already. Been working with Jawbone with several units sent and even another model. Try a Samsung phone and it works great. Verizon says there is nothing else they can do at this point. They get HTC tech support on the phone and the end result was a clear "keep buying headsets until you find one that works". Really?

Is there a BT headset that works with this phone? Drives me nuts that anyone can make anything and say it works and meets specs. But then an end user can get the run around and pointed to the other company as it's their problem only often end up in a dead end. Anyone can make money selling crap. Apparently charge the right amount of money to build the brand is all that's necessary.

I got a Motorola h17 earpiece. Works great. No complaints also a Motorola stereo headset. It works great. Also got a jabra freeway speakerphone that clips to the visor. It works great.
