Its true, there is a moment leak floating around, but if thats the official 2.1, then it sucks to own a moment because there are alot of features missing from it.

It is not the 2.1 update. It is just a minor update for some issues that are listed on the "more details" page.

Ya, but I don't see any news on that either... I think it's a bogus article. I called my buddy who runs a Sprint store, and he said he hasn't heard any news on Moment update in months.

if you look at the date on the "more details" tab it was released in February. its not the one we are talking about. Someone on the Moment forum said that there is a legit 2.1 update floating around i guess, not the leak. Ill see what i can do once the wife gets home.

Yes it is out, but it too was a leak. I read about it last night. Sounds like Samsung really didn't put much effort into it though. I am glad I dumped the Moment and went with the Hero. I was just thinking about it though, and you would think if 2.1 were being released for the Hero tomorrow that the stores and other people would know at least by today. Looks like it isn't coming for us this week. Or do you really think that it will get released tomorrow without anyone knowing until tomorrow?

Hmmmm, it might depend on if it's solely an OTA update. But I'm not even sure if that happens ever. For all I know, it could be months, but the other big rumor says that the Euro Hero is getting it's update on the 16th. It can't be too far out.

I have a feeling this is not going to be OTA. The Moment update that leaked yesterday is over 100MB. I have a feeling this is going to be OTW or in store only. Of course I have been wrong before, but I just get this feeling...

Yea, more than likely an update in the store or at home... seeing how big a fiasco the stupid CL14 update was. Ar this point, I honestly think it may be a good choice that I decided to dump the Moment in favor of the Hero...


This frickin refurbed one I'm on till the hero gets here isn't even up to date with the update, its still running CJ05. Lots of keyboard lag and other issues that tempt me to bring it in so I'm not 100% more pissed than I am already.

I can't argue with that... I didn't mean for this to turn into another psychic forecast thread, but the article was at least a little intriguing... Now that we know it's just another false alarm, we probably don't need the thread any longer. Thanks for the additional info guys!

The moment needs the update because of all the bugs like randome airplane mode, music pausing, slow games and apps exc.
