HTC Incredible GSM version?

but there is a GSM version of the droid(Milestone)
This is true, but HTC has already made about 5 devices that are almost exactly the same in specs. The Desire like suggested before is almost exactly the same except looks different and is GSM.

I don't see HTC making the actual Incredible itself into GSM, but I do see the remodeling it a bit and releasing it under a different alias like they did with the Hero/Eris/myTouch/etc.

the incredible has 8Gb internal memory so solves the lack of space for apps that the desire has (like the hero did too, well done HTC for learning on that one!). It also has a dual led flash with 8MP camera which is much better than the desire 5MP with single flash!

i think the GSM world has been screwed here considering thery're being released within the same month with key higher specs on the CDMA version!

I'd personally get the Galaxy S if you have to have a gsm phone. It's screen will honestly be much better than any other phone (including the evo).

Agreed on the hardware (1GHz and 4" super amoled) but the Samsung UI is horrible and is a complete turn off. Anyone who would deliberately make an Android interface look like the iphone has some serious issues. Maybe it's a Korean thing? Worried about losing home market share to the iphone?

The GSM world getting screwed over in favor of CDMA? Probably only the second time it has worked out that way.

As stated, the Incredible will i can almost guarantee NOT become a GSM phone. Why would it? the EVO would go head to head with the device, and definitely win in some areas (not that i dont love my incredible) .

Entertaining any sort of hope that the device might come to GSM will just be setting yourself up for a let down unfortunately.

I agree that there will not be a GSM version of the Incredible. But if there was, it would not go head to head with the EVO. The EVO will be on Sprint, which does not use GSM.
