Just got an iPad. It's synched to my exchange office email/calendar. Awesome. A friend has his tethered to his 3g iphone for mobro. Is there any app that allows tethering without root access?

If not, I'm not very technical, so does anyone in the bay area want to help me root my nexus one?

If you want to convert your android phone into a mobile hotspot, you will need froyo and a free app called Hotspot Widget..

Included in Froyo is Wifi Hotspot, the Widget creates a handy on off switch from the phones desktop..

Mobile Hotspot compatible with all Iphones/Ipads/Ipod touchs/PS3 etc...

Speeds depends on your data plan, I use Vodafone Spain (1gb bandwidth 3mbps + drops to 128kbps) more than enough for email and basic surfing.

yeah I was just at the Apple store a couple days ago and connected an iPad to my Nexus...Apple genius didn't seem to like it too much. :D

I'm just waiting to see what the new iPads look like before grabbing a wifi only version. I'm not an Apple traitor...I just prefer the build quality of the iPad to any other tablet i've seen so far.
