Help Removing Password

Just after a little help

My daughter has set a password on her Tab and now we cannot swipe to open up the tablet, in effect, its non usable

Is there a way to restore/wipe the tablet without this password or will i be better trying to speak to Samsung direct?

I've been searching for a way to do it without having to perform a wipe. But unfortunately to no avail.

HOPEFULLY you made a backup before this happened. If not...:help:

A simple way to do a hard reset:

1: Power down your tablet.

2: WHILE holding the Volume Down/Left button, press and HOLD the power button until your Samsung Logo shows up. Then let go of the Power button WHILE still holding onto the Volume Button. You can now let go of the Volume Button.

3: You will only be able to use the buttons at this point: Press the Volume Down button again to move the cursor to the left; then press the Volume UP/Right Button to make a selection. This will eventually bring up the recovery screen.

4: Navigate through the menu with your Volume UP/Right or Volume Down/Left buttons to select "wipe data/factory reset", then press the Power button to make your selection.

5: The next screen will have you confirm that your wish to do this. Navigate until you select "Yes - delete all user data", then hit the Power button again to confirm your selection.

6: When complete, navigate to the "reboot system now" option and press the Power button to confirm.

Hope this helps.
