Help [Resolved] New stock VM behavior when playing messages

Something recently changed with my voicemail...and it's bothering the heck out of me.

I often keep 3 or 4 messages in my voicemail.

Now, when I go in and listen to a new voicemail, once I delete it, it automatically starts playing the next voicemail. It used to just bring you back to the main voice mail screen where they are all listed but I have not found a setting yet that will do that.

Please help!

Thanks

This seem to be the default behavior of the VM app now.

Which just boggles my mind...I know it may seem silly thing to get so upset about but when you keep voicemails on your phone as I do and every time after you play a new one it's starts playing the old ones it's frustrating. Poor idea.....

Thanks again for your comments- much appreciated.

if you want to keep voicemails, send them to the SD card. that way they dont take up precious internal memory and you wont have them playing after you hear a new voicemail.

if you have questions about another app, you may want to ask your question in the APP subforum .

here is a link that may help get you started.

I feel you on this, and moving to SD card is not really a solution, as you may not want to effectively archive a message but rather keep it live in your inbox. I find it obnoxious as well.

moving the VMs to SD card will prevent them from playing. thats why i suggested that. you can also add them back to the inbox later.

it may not be the best solution, but is something worth trying if a user does not want their messages playing back to back.

And upon moving back to the inbox they will play automatically once again. Also while moving them to or from the SD they will play automatically. Just a bad change by HTC/Sprint/Smith Micro.

not arguing with you :)

my point is moving them to SD card will stop them from playing. of course once you move them back then the issue presents itself again.

yes it looks to be an unfriendly behavior but there is at least that workaround.

Yeah, good info, it's just irking to hear that next message play every damn time lol

UPDATE: Hooray the latest VM software version fixed this behavior :)
