Serious help with my tablet!!!

hi guys and gals.. right long story short i have a superpad 2 (flytouch 3) witch runs real jerky and slow ... basicly i wanna put a custom rom on it i think its called tim6a or somthing .... i need all the help i can get im a complete novie with tablets but real keen to learn :) and hopefully some of you will be patient to walk me through the process. be gentle haha the specs of the tablet are as follows ;

model number: YOSpad

Android version; v2.3 2011-08-10 (001112)

Kernal version; 2.6.32.9
root@jackie-desktop#216

build number; FRF85B

Just about everyone here is going to run from a thread where the words "novie" and "root" are in the same post. My best suggestion is to research, research, research on how to root devices and also how to unroot devices.

Far too many times we see people come to this phone and make post with a million "!!!!!!" about how they bricked there device due to a bad root and need help. Just about every time it's someone who just dove right into it without researching it and got way in over their heads. There are always friendly people on this board to help those people out but most of the time they can only do so much. So when you ask us to walk you through the entire process it throws up a red flag.

I am also going to suggest that you search Android, Windows Phone, and Windows Mobile Development News, Information, and Howtos - XDA Developers for your device and see if anyone has rooted it. It looks like you are running a pretty generic chinese tablet so your specs are only going to allow you to do so much.

Best of luck.

thanks guys .. ive maneged to root it but i got a feeling your right.... there isnt an awful lot i can do with it i think im gonna count my losses and get a much much better tablet .. was thinking the galaxy tab 2 or somthing????? .. once againg thanks very much for your replies and feedback :)

I would highly recommend the Nexus 7, it really is a gem for the price. Also if you do get a new tablet then I would practice throwing roms on your older tablet, this will give you some experience in flashing roms without too much fear of bricking it. Good luck viper and welcome!
