Hey All,

I have a family plan with me as the main account with a 19% corporate discount. 2 of my family members are also eligible for discounts through their own companies. Does anyone know if its possible to use their discounts on their own lines since my discount doesn't work on secondary lines?

Thanks for the help,

No, each account must have a monthly fee of $39.99 or more in order for a corporate discount to apply, since each person aside from the primary user only has a $9.99 monthly fee... no.

The only way to get pass this is if each person goes with an individual account, but it's not worth it--I've done the math.

Wait, VZW discounts dont work on ALL lines?

.....Sheesh.... And you guys wonder...

Why I use Sprint. The Corp Discount comes off the entire bill, not just one line. Among other things.

+1 you must be the primary on the account to receive any corporate discount. As there can be only one primary in a share plan, there can only be one discount applied.
I was told it had to be over $39.99 because you could have multiple individual accounts over $39.99 under a primary account holder's name--I was offered that, but that makes no sense.

Yeah, if you look at it that way, 4 people with separate accounts with 450 min. ea. would be around $160, but if they went on a 700 min. family plan, the total would be $90. Even going to the 2000 min. family plan ('cause 450 min. x 4 would be 1800 min. total) the price $120. If the discounts DID apply to the two family plans the difference would be $73 (700min.) & $97 (2000min.). The reason they don't offer extras on family plans, is the people using the extra lines are only paying $9.99 a month to use the primary users minutes while he absorbs all the risk. Usually to get discounts like NE2 or friends & family, each line has to be at least one tier higher than the bottom for the respective type of plan (individual or family), but only the primary account user can get the NE2. As far as discounts not working on all lines that someone mentioned, the cororate discount probably won't work on other carriers, so their implication that switching to a certain other carrier would not get you the discount either.
