Still waiting on update

Anyone else still waiting? Every time I check, it looks and then just goes back to the status screen. I have tried restarting pulling battery, changing lte off and on, even factory reset the phone... Still same result.

Just wanted to know if anyone else is experiencing this or am i alone?

I'm still waiting as well. I even called Verizon who suggested I do a factory reset. Reluctantly I did and of course, that still didn't do the trick. The person I spoke with gave me her email address and I sent her an email and never heard back.

Have you maybe tried to call HTC directly? Not sure if you would get any further, but maybe there is an issue with your phone. Then again I guess I don't know that Verizon is complete with rolling out the update??

Im hoping that they are just not complete on rolling out the update. A Verizon rep at one of their stores said to try calling HTC, but then i thought about it and its not HTC, its Verizon pushing out the update. HTC already finished and gave the update to Verizon. I guess it Could be the phone itself, which would be annoying.... We tried updating the phone on display at the store, which wasn't updated yet, and it returned saying there was no update available. That makes me think they are nit finished rolling it out. Only problem that still sits in my head is that my phone doesn't tell me anything. Its like it just gives up and does nothing

if you haven't gotten by now somethings wrong....i got mine as soon as it was available and that seems like a while ago now. there might be something wrong with the phone.

Something is wrong make them issue you a new phone. It's appears as if you would never get an ota.

I called Verizon and to my surprise the lady was very nice and called htc for me right there on the spot. HTC guy said they may have accidentally left me off the update list and i will just have to wait for them to post the update to their website so i can download it.... What... A.... DICK! That's really just called laziness and whats wrong with people these days. Just want to get out of work and get his paycheck. No respect for the job and doing things right. I like my HTC phone but will never buy HTC again due to their shitty support

I'm still waiting, too. The software update check on my phone has never seemed right, and does exactly what the OP's phone does. You press "check new" and it just cycles back to the original screen and does not tell you anything...

I did contact HTC about two weeks ago on another issue and asked about the update; they had no info other than it'd be available "soon". I will say, I've had more than my share of issues with this phone and neither Verizon nor HTC is willing to issue a new unit. Seriously, I think it would have to blow up in your hand in order for them to replace it.

I was in touch with HTC who had me enter some phone numbers to try to "force" the update and nothing happened. They also had me do a Google check which was successful but still no update.
I called Verizon again who claimed that they have no other complaints regarding this but did issue me a new phone since they think it's defective and that the OTA rollout was completed and we all should have received it by now.

I would call Verizon and tell them you never got the update.

So i said screw it and used the link Incredible blue provided. All seems good now. I did have the phone freeze twice but overall its seems to run much smoother and better battery life. I have one concern in that is this the official upgrade? Will i be able to still receive ota updates in the future?
When I check software update status everything is still blank except source : VZ and Code:0. The software number does match the official update number.

So after installing, i randomly get notifications of random processes suddenly closing unexpectedly... And this is like a minimum of 5 a day. The phone also freezes up often and is nonresponsive and have to pull the battery. It also randomly restarts.... This is a nightmare. Did me installing with this ruu void my warranty? I feel like there's something else wrong with this phone

Are you not rooted? If not your warranty is valid but your problem sounds software related so can be corrected without Verizon help

Found another upload of it elsewhere. Installed and seems good so far. Im thinking i may have had a corrupt copy or something before. So far so good, keeping fingers crossed

After going back and forth between HTC ("wait till the file shows up on our website") and Verizon ("we don't publish updates, check with HTC"), Verizon finally gave in and replaced my phone. Mine had a couple of other issues - one with a creaky back cover and a stock email app that would not autosync. I think the combination of them all was what did it. So anyway, anyone who goes to Settings-> Software Update-> Check new, and the "checking for new software available now" comes up and goes away without a result, you have this same problem (according to the knowledgable VZW rep). I'm quite happy how responsive they were this time, especially after months of finger pointing.

Ya i got my warranty replacement yesterday and its all great now. Actually tells me there is no available updates now and i have the update on this one now. Finally I got what I was waiting forever for
