Call recorder apps for S3?

Not all call recordings apps would work with Samsung Galaxy S3. Call recorders are very hardware-dependent: some would work with certain hardware, many would not. The one I'd been using on my previous phone does not work properly on S3. I have not found any call recording apps that score 4 or over out of 5 for user reviews, (and I generally avoid apps that get less than 4 out of 5 at Google Play.)

If so, why not go for a custom Samsung stock ROM which has this feature integrated. I'm using Omega v36, which is rock solid, can be fine tuned how you wanted during flashing (using Aroma installer script making a plethora of choices available during install) and, more to the point you raised, has the in-call recording feature integrated in the dialer package, and it simply works.

As mentioned previously, there are third party apps out there but a lot of them are hit-and-miss and besides, this is the most elegant solution if have seen. By-the-way, there are other custom ROMs over at XDA developer forum that offer the same solution but are different; you just need to read through the threads and then go for one that appeals to you. If you don't want to go the custom ROM route then there may also be a mod package available (flashable zip) that works with a stock ROM - you'd need to search the forum. Good luck.

But its very expensive now - It was cheaper when I bought it. It really is great though but as Heat above states, many custom ROMs have this feature built in.

If you are rooted, many custom rom have the feature built-in, such as crDroid and Omega.

Total Recall's rating at Google Play is a dismal 3.2 out of 5. One-third of its user reviews give it 1 out of 5. No way I'm touching it.

The paid version, whose user rating is even lower at 3.1/5, (yikes,) costs as much as CallRecorder, whose user rating is an excellent 4.4./5. (Both are $9.95.) I'd be stupid or crazy or both to pay for Total Record when there is an obviously far-superior alternative.

Thanks. I tried CallRecorder. It worked on my phone. I liked its clean, streamlined, organized and non-intrusive interface. So I bought the paid version.

I am in severe need of a Call Recorder App.
Going completely honest here with all of you and forgive me if this is TMI, but it's for a very verbally abusive husband. I need him to hear what he sounds like when he speaks to me on many of our phone conversations.

I've tried so many and one worked great but suddenly stopped working last year. Have not been able to find one since. Most are saying that they only work if my SGH-T999 is rooted. All of my info is below about my phone, except for the OS, which is Jelly Bean 4.3 and recently received an OTA update from T-Mobile for "Stability Issues".
Rooting my phone is not an option, and any help would be so very much appreciated!!

I thought my phone info would be here on my ? Signature? But didn't see it when I previewed post. Please forgive me as I am new to this forum.
