The Tablet Tavern

I love competition among OSs, but until there's more universal app choices, I won't be leaving Android. If theirs becomes super easy to transfer apps over to (like some Linux distros) then perhaps I'll switch. But, other than that, probably not.

I like the competing OS's as well as they push each other to get better (well, Android pushes the rest to keep up for the most part). I do have to say that I now have more money invested in the ecosystem than most devices cost now, so Google has me there. I now have a major barrier to exit Android.

Not that I've purchased a ton of apps, but I would hate to have to buy them again to move to iOS, WP8 or whatever. Just isn't happening at this point.

Good point I really have invested enough in apps that it would greatly deter me from changing is.

And dread about buying apps on wp8 well long story short there are not really any to buy. They've got next to no app support :p

That's what everyone seems to say but I have really no idea. I've looked into some sites listing the most popular apps that aren't on WP7/8 yet and really none of them I care about (like Instagram).
I think more importantly is that I'm deep into the Google ecosystem with Gmail and calender that I'd hate to not have it set up so easily. Maps is another whole issue too! :p

How much did it cost you?

Depends on how much you spent for the Kickstarter. I went with the second tier (so to speak) which was I think $120. Gave you a free watch in whatever color (lowest tier was only black).
Watched the videos on Engadget and the Verge. Can't wait! :D
One thing I'm really curious about is how far I can be from my phone for it to sync. Haven't really used any BT devices outside of the keyboard for my N7 which is never more than a foot or so away from it.

When they go to retail (hey, I think they have to ship something like 80,000 first!), I've no idea what the cost will be but I feel like them mentioned in the past it will be ~$150. Honestly, a lot of people blast the look, but I like it. I have a couple decent watches, but I still use my phone to see the time.
I feel like I'd wear this one more.

Ah, rewatching their original video. Really hoping that Rhapsody can be supported as it's the only music app I use.
