Help Samsung galaxy note jelly bean official update

Dears ,
i want to know when will be the Samsung galaxy note jelly bean official update will be available -- till now iam connecting my galaxy note N-7000 to Kies and there is no update

It was supposed to be coming in Q4 of last year, now it is rumoured it will come this month, but no one knows for sure, except Samsung and they aren't saying.

All we know for sure is the Note will definitely get JB sometime soon.

Samsung has already said that the note as well as the S2 will get the update. It's just a matter of when.

You currently have the same firmware as I do and until Samsung release JB, you're stuck with it, unless you want to go down the rooting road.

JB 4.1.2 is the latest Samsung/Android release and so will supercede older versions of JB. I don't suppose there would be much point in Samsung releasing an older less stable version of JB.

Does Samsung Note take different JB versions, like say Europe & USA?

I'm thinking most of the time these new firewares are never really released is it would cut into the sales of the new Note II. One of the big reasons to get that phone is because of the JB.

With the official JB release being pretty close, personally I think I'll wait, cause I don't fancy flashing what may or may not be a stable version. Also as you rightly pointed out, this may not be the country specific version that is needed.

This is starting to smack of a PR gaff. Personally, if I EVER get the idea that the Koreans are going to punish the rest of us for not being Korean then I shall drop Samsung like a hot brick. Fwiw, I think the hugely successful Apple are very sensitive to this issue and try hard to release things on a world-wide basis. Dont get me wrong I hate Apple for several reasons, but Samsung need to be very VERY careful on this issue.

I think it is more like they're afraid of losing Note II sales as a big part of that advertising is about the new JB on it. If the folks with the original Note gets JB, why jump to the Note II, it is not that much better.

There is no evidence that the Samsung has released Jelly Bean for the original Note (GT-N7000) yet, but it has clearly been promised. Instead, there have been leaked development ROMs which look close to being finished.

I don't buy the Note 2 sales argument. The vast majority of Note 1 owners have devices less than a year old - why would you want to upgrade so early? Especially as the Note 1 is pretty damned good anyway.

Just be patient and you will get the Jelly Bean and suite upgrade soon enough.

Remember Wikipedia is updated by Joe Nobody so it's a good starting point but always check the sources.

All we have from Samsung is an Official page detailing the Note N7000 with JB and no mention of release dates:

Rumours have said a roll-out will start December 2012, then January 2013 then February 2013.

A few people last Autumn got Jelly Bean pushed to their phone which is how the leaks ended up on XDA. These people have all received different revisions suggesting they were Beta released accidently (or perhaps purposefully) pushed to a few users phones.

Sammobile lists OTA updates per phone and country. The latest info tells us they are still pushing ICS to some countries (Venezuela and Argentina in November) so they're not likely to start pushing JB until they have finished with ICS.

Bottom line is, if you're happy to wait it will come and if you're not happy to wait flash one of the leaked versions, I'm running an LSC version and whilst using it, it's very stable with blazing speeds and good battery life. The only issue I've found is sometimes it will get stuck booting after a reboot.

I am extremely unhappy with my Samsung Galaxy Note I for many reasons.
The main one is that all the apps I can find seem A) fairly flaky and B) fairly counter intuitive.

e.g.
1. I have had endless problems synching to msExchange.
2. I cant stop those irritating whistles when things come in. That is I do still want to hear that an SMS has come in but nothing else.
3. Almost everything it does is just too damned slow. I dont have a vast number of apps installed either. It might be because I am running AVG anti-virus though.
4. Even things like setting up a calendar entry is painful. I add an entry and it immediately disappears from view!
5. The default email app is irritating because it can only show one email folder at once. So if an email comes in that Outlook has put into a specific directory, you have to know to look there or you wont find it.
6. The "Hi Galaxy" thing (when you it the button at the bottom middle twice) sometimes works well but when it gets stuck it gets VERY stuck and overall I find that it is almost useless. This is a huge shame because if it actually worked it would be extremely useful for when driving.
7. KIES is absolutely dreadful. It takes a very long time to connect. Quite often it completely fails to connect in fact! And whilst KIES is open it murders my PC's 'resources' (Fwiw, my PC is: Win7 x64, with 8GB of RAM, running an SSD with loads of space available). For example Skype and Youtube playback become unusable.

I'm still a Galaxy Note newbie and perhaps I'm mis-using or misunderstanding the thing. Or perhaps I need to find better apps. I dont know - but I have bought a couple of android review type magazines and tried various of their recommended apps, but most of them I've had to uninstall.

Now that I remember, my phone got COMPLETELY stuck attempting to do an upgrade and tech support couldnt help me and eventually I had so post the phone back for about 10 days whilst they fixed ti.

Yes, I do like my Galaxy Note 1 and yes, I acknowledge that I am still on a learning curve... but overall, let's not get carried away - I certainly wouldnt call it "pretty damned good".

If you read the full article, you will see it is in fact saying that no such update is yet available anywhere.

The guy that posted saying the update was available in Poland was fake!
