Unfortunately, glitches do happens on every platform. If problem persists, clear data from the Play Store application in applications inside settings.

By the welcome aboard. I'm not sure of what kind of .apk you are talking about....but the Play Store or the Amazon app store is where Androiders get their applications from.

Let's know if you should need help with anything else. Also, stop by your device's area of discussion for some cool tips and info on your device.

Best of luck. And thanks for joining. ;)

I wish it was as easy as clearing the data but that don't work unfortunately. I've put my thread about the play store problem in the galaxy s3 section but I've only had one reply that didn't work. can I link my other post in to this thread.

I'm after a site or app that I can use as a temporary replacement for the play store until I get this problem sorted really.

Thanks for the link you provided.

Hi there. Ive recently been getting the "unfortunately the google play store has stopped" message and have tried everthing to sort this problem out.
I have found a way to work round this by downloading an app called 1 Mobile Market from this website Over 200,000 free android apps direct downloads

Once this is downloaded, Go to the Play Store on your Browser and when you select an app you would like, Instead of cliking on install, click the title of the app and choose 1 Mobile Market as your preferred choice and then click on always use as ytour preference.

This should then open the 1 Mobile market app and you should be able to install from there as if you are on the play store.

This doesnt solve the problem with the play store but it is a very good work around. I dont know if it will install paid apps, but it works with every free app that i have tried.

I hope this helps and if you need any more advice on this, please ask. This isnt exactly the best desciption but im in a rush at the moment so will explain it a bit better later on.

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, if it is, can someone move it to a more helpful place.
