Charging cable

If you want to use the N7 in the car for navigation you'd chose a microUSB cable as short as possible and with thicker power wires because of the larger amount of amperage that charging and the navigation app (at the same time) are needing.

Quality mircroUSB cables like these by DeLock have 24AWG for the power wires instead of 28AWG like the data wires.

Such a quality microUSB cable could become handy also at home, if you want you use the N7 while charging.

And if you want just to charge in N7's stand by over night, any microUSB cable could be used ;)

For the N7 you'd buy an Asus charger.

Because you'll need its 2A amperage and its coded USB output for rapid charging with high amperage.

Thanks.

Ive got the part that plugs into the mains, its the usb cable I was after since ive damaged it.

So are you saying if I want fast charging I need to buy the cable plus charger as per your link ?

It is depending of how you charge your N7. If you charge while the N7 is on stand-by, different cables whould not make any difference of charging speeds.

See, the important part is the charger (that plugs into the mains), so you'd use this one which came with your N7 or that Asus (which should be the same ;) ).

Harry

Still undecided what to do, that asus 1 is just too expensive, wasn't wanting to spend that much though. Ill see what these 2 cables are like before I buy another cable.
