Minimalist Text font color change with time from Tasker?

Hi Sorry if this has been answered, I'm a bit new to Tasker and could not find any help on this problem.

I am trying to change the Minimal Text font color based on if it is night or day, to correspond with my wallpaper. Ideally from Tasker I would have two variables that I put into the same minimalist text widget, but only one would show up at a time (based on if it is day or night). That way I could set the color and font of each variable.
So far I have figured out how to send the time to minimalist text (by using variable %TIME), but the issue with that is that even with this variable set up with a profile (from 7am to 5pm) the time does not update (the widget just shows the time when the widget was made) AND that time is still displayed even after the profile has ended.
If anyone has any ideas about this that would be much appreciated!

Thanks

not possible to set properties other than text in mt from tasker, try the zoom app from the tasker dev instead, it is similar to mt and better integrated.

if you want your mt variables to update, you have to reassign the new value each time the corresponding tasker variable changes. you can do that in an action in the task that changes it or in a profile that monitors the value.
