Hey all, I just wanted to know what kind of data plans you have for your Heros.

I have looked online and gotten the right APN for AT&T. At least I'm sure.

APN: wap.cingular
Username: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
Password: CINGULAR1
MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
MMS Port: 80

Everything else I did not touch.

I am on AT&T, and have recently gotten the 10 dollar data plan. The browser and retrieving the weather works just fine, but when I try to sign onto Gmail using the Gmail application, it says that I have no network connection or my SIM card is not set up for this sort of data.

After further analysis, I was able to use Peep and Mail to check my Exchange email just fine. Only when trying to log into Google and Gmail that the error comes up. This happens with on Edge AND on Wifi.

The error: "This could be a temporary problem or your SIM card may not be provisioned for data services. If it continues, call Customer Care.

Are you guys on a PDA plan or anything like that? Let me know please! Having this phone with no access to anything sucks!

I called AT&T support, and since it is an unlocked device, they said they can't really help me at all.

Thanks everyone!

I'm not sure what data plan I'm on because I pulled my sim out of my work blackberry that is on ATT, but I do however know that if you didn't sign in to your gmail account when you actually started the phone, that causes weird issues.

Try rebooting the phone completely, and in the very beginning when it asks for your Gmail info, put it in right away.

You'll probably notice that you can't get in to Market either. Same issue. I hope this helps.

Thank you! I am doing that right now. I upgraded to the PDA plan... if this works I'll see if I can get it to the regular data plan as it's 20 dollars cheaper!

Just got done with the reset and it worked like a charm! I'm going to go reset mine back to that regular data plan. Thanks!
