Help NEXUS 7 SCREEN BROKEN ! Stuck between a Rock and a Hard Place

OK I have recently gotten the Nexus 7 tablet for chrismas. Its now nearly 3 weeks and my wild little brother smashed it's screen to pieces. :(
Now I was falling love with it, but maybe it happened for a reason..\

NOW My Options are restricted becuase I live in Jamaica...
SHOULD I BUY a New NEXUS 7 or should I
SHOULD I REPAIR the Nexus 7 because the Screen is just cracked
SHOULD I WAIT for a New Google Prouct, being rumoured the GOOGLE X tablet.

Is it worth it to WAIT to REPAIR...

I have not enough money to buy 'til April so..

SOMEONE please suggest any of the thre options or even their own opinion on what I should do ???!

Haha, still there are alot of rumours about Google gadgets named that are said to be named Google X Phone and Tablet
ANd how since Motorola, was bought by them, they will start making their OWN Phones and Tablet.
Also, its rumoured they should have like a durable and bendable screen.

Also how it is gonna be a flagship for the the new OS 5.0 Keylime Pie
SO if you were me would you wait for it? or Buy it now?

I wouldn't repair the screen because that will cost almost as much as a new N7. Instead try and sell the broken N7 on ebay for spares.

If you can't afford to do anything until April wait till April and then see what the rumour mill is saying. If you're thinking of spending money right now I'd simply but another N7 because I couldn't live without mine. If a new model is released in the summer that doesn't mean the N7 suddenly becomes rubbish - it's still an excellent tablet.

You never know, but I doubt a new 7 inch nexus device will release in the spring, probably fall, but there will probably be other devices out soon. I am frustrated because I bought a nexus 7 early and now the same one is $50 cheaper, that might well happen, but I still like my device, I would say buy a new one. Acer has a decent 7 inch tablet that I believe has a few more ports like micro sd and maybe hdmi, but the screen is not as good as the 7. or wait until summer/fall for a new android nexus tablet to be released (but not guarantees) Its up to you, and if things release early or prices change you have to live with your decision and not regret it too much, things will always release that is newer or faster.

But still, I'm asking if me getting the Nexus 7 HD, will be worth to wait for... Or if I should just a new Nexus 7 1 Generation in April

I'm like you jamaican, don't have the cash now. I'm going to see what the rumors are when I'm ready to buy. If a new device is worth waiting for when I have the money, I'll wait. If not, I'll be more than happy to get another Gen1 N7.

Remember this Google bought Motorola
Aren't they expecting a Google X phone to come out
And thus, a Google X tablet would be expected !

SHOULD I WAIT ON THAT ??? Or even be expecting

I believe the initial NYT article did mention an X tablet as well. If that's the case, you would need to decide if you want a nexus device, or a stock android device made by Motorola. One difference is that there might be an X tablet version available on Verizon, unlike a nexus tablet which is gsm only.

Wouldn't usually they release the wi-fi version first, like how they did with Nexus 7. It's Google we are talking about
