I'm tired of waiting for ESPN Scorecenter for Android

Here's their twitter account: twitter.com/scorecenter
And here's ESPN's contact site: https://r.espn.go.com/members/contact/index

Start bombarding them with requests for an Android Scorecenter. Throw in a few online articles about how fast Android is growing. Last time they commented on Android a couple months ago, they said they were "evaluating" the Android platform. Give them something to evaluate. NFL is coming on Android (at least Verizon Androids), so that's got to get their attention.

Wont happen any time soon. ESPN is pissed at google for not removing apps with the ESPN name in them fast enough (developed by 3rd parties)...

ESPN Mobile Thrives Despite No Ties To Ad Networks Or Android | mocoNews

As for Android, he’s not jumping on the bandwagon too quickly. He said you search “ESPN” in the Android Market, and you get six to seven copycats. Zehr: “We’ve complained, but it’s a lot like whack-a-mole. They [Google] are not as responsive as I’ve liked. If they won’t police it, it makes the playing field tough.” (Today, only one app is using the ESPN brand in its title.)

Yes, I've seen that article. It was months ago. Besides that's no excuse. Countless NFL imitators didn't stop them from making their own app.

When that article was written is irrelevant in this case. Until ESPN "forgives" Google for not removing fakes (There are currently 5 or more in the Market), they will not make the app.

Using the NFL as an example is not accurate. That app is for Verizon only, and Verizon paid HEAVILY to have that app and access to NFL content. With the money the NFL where payed, they could care less if there are copycats I would imagine, as long as they didn't use NFL properties.

Don't be so sure...

For those who have not emailed or have not gotten a reply, here's a more direct way to contact them:

support@espncustomercare.com

That's the address where the replies come from. This way, you can skip filling out the form from the website I showed you.

On the other hand, it might be read faster if you did go through the contact site and specified the right categories (Category: ESPN Mobile, Item: Mobile Applications, Topic: iPhone - ScoreCenter) so they know right away what you're asking about.
