Don't get me wrong, people like this serve their purposes, In stating the obvious when it comes to improvements to new technology.. If it weren't for the nagging types, complaining about the tiny details(tiny when compared to all of the other awesome features), None of the developers would feel like making or fixing anything because there would be no-one to shut-up at that point..
LOL
(that was sarcasm before anyone gets their panties in a wad)
Seriously though, Learn a little more about your "phone" if thats what you still choose to call these things these days, and if you still don't like it simply because the Phone function lags a second or 2 sometimes, then i recommend the RAZR (srsly, RAZRs ROCK!!) Maybe you aren't ready for a Big Boy Mobile Device just yet
"I’m not comparing the Eris to anything except something that is supposed stay on all the time and work. I run my PC 24/7 and I’ve done that for a decade. My Windows 7 machine running 20 MILLION LINES OF CODE is more stable than my @#$% phone. "
Oh the many ways to contradict yourself, and you chose the most blatantly obvious one, one sentence right after the other
That sounds like a comparison to me.. and an Apples and Oranges one at that..
Your expectations place you in about... the year 2020.. maybe then your SmartPhone will be able to run 20 million lines of code and be stable...
There are many reasons your PC requires 110v power to be supplied to it power supply at all times to work the way you explained, which is also just ONE of the reasons your Windows 7 machine, IS NOT IN YOUR POCKET!!!!! which, in all actuality, could quite possibly make your SmartPhone a more advanced piece of equipment than your Windows 7 machine, simply because it CAN fit in your pocket, and do(a few)things your PC canNOT.. (if you really wanted to get technical in comparing the 2) But like I said, Apples and Oranges, it is really hard to compare them at all..
