Market slow after 2.1 upgrade

Since the 2.1 update, the Market takes FOREVER to open anything. Whether it's just as the app opens, when I go into Downloads, or if I click a new app and try to look at screenshots. I just don't remember it being this slow.

Suggestions?

Everything has declined on my droid since the update. The market is very slow for me too also it wont show the download progress unless I touch the screen and it will jump to where it is at the time and I have tpo keep touching it to get to it to show. My reception has bit the dust, Pandora is very particular about working, my gallery playing videos renders the phone useless ad freezes and requires a battery pull. I had to do EIGHT battery pulls in five minutes to get it to fully function again. I did 0 before the update.

Im still using DM 2.01 and the market is now dead slow most of the time, but I think this is because the huge increase of Android users actually using the market now, and quite possibly the amount of apps in the market. I believe they need to upgrade their servers to handle the increase. Any other thoughts?

My phone is slow period now. Extremely laggy. Going to turn off live wallpapers and see if that helps.

I haven't noticed anything other than it takes a few seconds to load fully now. I am not sure if it is because I have too much junk going on with my setup. I haven't optimized things (didn't clean out the stock launcher, added a bunch of junk widgets and I still keep Google Earth, so I can't point any fingers yet.)

It's super slow on 2.1 however on the X10 using 1.6 is super fast... Like seriously fast.

on my stock droid the market is quick and snappy, no lag problems at all.

I haven't noticed a difference form 2.0.1 to 2.1 with stock or ROM'd in the market

There's been lots of market issues in the last few weeks, I've been reading about them on the google help sites for Android and seen references on other sites too. Nobody seems to know of a definite fix.

Some have suggested try stopping the market application using a task manager, or going into Settings-Applications-Manage Apps- and clearing the cache and updates. That seems to work temporarily but nothing long term yet. The market acts up for me daily to one degree or another. It's quite annoying to say the least.
