I've tried almost everything but my computer still won't recognize my Evo via USB. It never worked before (I just got the phone today) and I am running Windows 7. I've tried checking and unchecking USB Debugging.... I've tried to check and uncheck the "Ask Me" option under Connect to PC....I've tried restarting both the laptop and phone...but still nothing. What am I doing wrong?

When I plug it in it begins to charge, but when I go to My Computer, it isn't anywhere on the list. Is there a special software I need to download to get this working..?? I really want to add my music on my phone. PLEASE HELP!

Under connect to PC in the phone settings do you have the default connection set to Disk Drive? I use that setting then when I plug it in and then use connect to PC the computer sees it. I never installed anything, also using Win 7.

It doesn't even show that as an option. It only shows these three options:

(1) Charge Only
(2) HTC Sync
(3) Media Sync
