Hey guys,

I'm having a strange problem with a new HTC Hero: I've installed the driver (recognized correctly in device manager) on Windows XP and also the HTC Sync 2.0.4 without problems.

However, when trying to synchronize with Outlook 2003, it works with my contacts, but then it stops and says the synchronization failed and no calender entries are copied.

Anyone got any idea about what to do?

Thank you ! :)

Hi there, i did not have problem syncing calendar. but i realized that if u r planning to use or already using google calendar. u shld sync your outlook calendar with google calendar, then let your hero sync contents fron google calendar instead. problme is... if u plan to use both, u will end up with 2 sets of calendar items... 1. outlook 2. google.... on your phone.
not sure if u get what i m trying to say... let me know, i will try n explain more if needed...

Hey,
Thanks for the reply. However, I'm not planning to use Google Calender - it's for office use and the company is running on Exchange/Outlook.
Unfortunately they are using an old version of Exchange, so I can't connect directly to that one either.
But if it's working for you, maybe I should try to install it on another computer and see if I did something wrong the first time.

Thanks,

Jesper

has anyone figured this out yet?
my hero syncs with my exchange account inbox but my calendar does not! i don't mind have 2 occurrences of events i just really want all of my exchange (work) stuff to be on my phone. my contacts won't sync either, nor will any subfolders or any other folder besides the inbox show up on my phone as containing items.
please help! i can't find the answer online anywhere...
