Also for right now i just want to be able to put apps on my external memory card. Do i have to root it to put apps on my external memory card?? also is it hard to use the Pre-Kitchen 0.2.?? Does anyone have a video on how to use it??:thinking: and after rooting it how do i get my apps on external memory???

THanks for anyone who tried to help:)

Did you read the guide at the top? You have to root your phone to get apps on your SD card. To be honest, if you are only wanting that, it isn't worth it. Apps2sd is over-rated.

As for tutorials/guides, there is a tutorial on how to use pre-kitchen as part of the tutorial in this forum. In addition, if you visit geekfor.me there are a few videos on using the new (1.0.5) kitchen

why do you want to put apps on the SD card? have you looked at what apps2sd does? or what can happen if things go wrong (sd card gets pulled or sd card fails)??

apps2sd can allow you to install a TON of apps.. well over the normal 70 amp limit.. however, honestly, I have not found 70+ apps that need to be installed.. how many apps do you really need? you don't even know since you don't have the phone.

what can happen if all goes wrong... well.. you could end up with an expensive paper weight.. if you simply pull the sd card without powering down.. or power up with no sd card, normally a reboot (with the card in) fixes it.. but if the SD card fails (and they do fail).. your phone suddenly becomes useless.. how do you recover from a failed SD card? you could try reflashing a ROM.. that might help.. of course you would have lost all the apps on the SD card.. then again, if the card fails.. you could end up having to RUU the phone.. setting it back to out of the box stock. but until then, you'd have a useless phone..

All rooting your phone does it grant you full admin rights to the phone.. that's it..

rooting allows you flash/load custom ROMs... such as Fresh 2.0d which is running Androiding 2.1.. or you could remove spring apps that you may not want..

rooting also allows you to run a very small number of apps that require root.. (when you get your phone search root in the market to see which ones are there)
