Is this battery life normal? How is everyone else's?

I'm using CM10 and out of those 2 hours, I had my screen on about half the time to answer various messages and check email. And for Min frequency, I have 192 MHz whereas for max, I have 1242 MHz. I don't know if that's what you mean by cpu settings, though.

4G does drain battery pretty fast but it shouldn't drain like that. What governor do you use?

Something definitely isnt right if after 2hrs ur at 23%. A few things 2 consider...Reboot into recovery and try wiping only your battery stats, then reboot. Also how old is your phone? Maybe ur battery is getting old? U can find new ones for relatively cheap. Your settings dont seem like they should be affecting your bat. life that much.

Well, I see mediaserver is taking quite a bit of juice... Were you streaming music or listening to offline music?

Both will keep the data connection active and you'll see a gradual drain like that. I see battery stats like that when I stream Sirius at work... And my battery lasts about 2 hours doing it too.

This is what I get with moderate use:

Its a lot worse when I stream on 4g/cdma.

Well, I guess that could be a problem as well since the battery is almost a year old. I was just hoping this phone could hold out until the S4 or X phone are released. The phone has a plethora of problems anyways so I guess I'll be switching to a new phone soon.

I was listening to Google Music, some of it was offline and for that time, my 4G was off. The thing is, 4G absolutely kills my battery. When I turn it on, I'll see my battery drain basically by the minute. If I keep it off, my phone will usually last me around 10-12 hours with moderate usage (texting and listening to offline music) which I usually do on school days.

Another problem that my phone seems to have is that sometimes, the battery will drop off sharply as in my phone will be at 70% and then I'll restart the phone and then it will be at around 45% and when I check battery stats, there's just a vertical line from 75-45. Does this mean my battery is messed up?

There's your issue right there. GMUSIC caches all music so the initial download will use some juice, but the app uses a fair amount of battery, even for stuff on the phone in the cache already.

And yes, 4G destroys the battery, because it's a 2 layer connection and the 4g portion requires more resources to keep a connection. I precache music I want to listen to with my wifi @ home. That tends to give me better life.

You'll see lower battery after a reboot, because it takes a lot of juice to do a reboot... But what you described is a bit high. I'd look into a new battery.

I've been using the Spec2 battery. About a three hour gain after replacing the original that's about 9 months old. I'd say average of two. Also, still on stock ICS debloated running FB. Lasts the day with moderate use, not too bad.

I was thinking of using a Spec2 battery for my phone but I read somewhere in this forum that it was bad for the phone for some reason I don't remember so I held off on doing this.

Must be your battery, I'm back on my stock as the extended won't charge, just blinks my key Leds a bit faster than once per second.

I never turn 4g off, have a fairly weak signal, I leave GPS on all the time. Don't use my phone for much, and have lots of power saving settings active. Here are some screen shots for you taken right now (CM10 v1).

Currently my settings have decreased the cpu settings per the rules I setup for battery <40%

And a paid app, phone weaver (has a free trial too) that I use to change my radios and audio settings at different times of day. It would take too many more screenshots to post all of the settings, but I will on request.

From Verizon. The extended sets the back out like 1/2 an inch, how's that not noticeable... the curved back makes it a bit better, but, no thanks. Used my phone a bit, few texts, on here, bit of Facebook, a call, sat overnight off charge, connected to Wi-Fi all the time with a couple drops. 50% battery @ 16.5 hours, 8 of no use. 4G and GPS always on, no battery saver apps at all, stock mostly debloated ICS. Wanting to look into juice defender, but not even sure if it truly works, at least the free version.
