Hi All,

I screwed up big time. I went to update my rooted S2 I9100 to 4.1.2 and during the process it failed at the modem.img part. Now the phone is stuck in download mode which wouldn't be a big deal except the usb isn't working anymore. Am I completely screwed at this point?

Thanks

The phone is is stuck in download mode after failed update to 4.1.2 and my pc (none of them for that matter) will not detect the phone. The cord works with all of my other android phone, so I doubt its the cord. I have tried many usb ports on multiple computers. I have tried leaving the batter out and nothing. Not sure what the issue is.

So when you replaced your battery the phone automatically booted into download mode ?

Were you flashing from the SD card via CWM or via ODIN ?

Correct. I was using Odin. If my pc would detect the USB, I could flash the stock rom. I am not sure if its a hardware or internal software that wrong. I tried a brand new cord today and it still wont pick up that a usb device is connected. My computer doesn't respond at all. I believe it is charging though due to the fact it has been a couple of days and the phone still works and when the phone is off, it will turn on to the "Firmware upgrade ensountered an issue..." when I plug the charger in via outlet and/or computer USB port.

Thanks for the respone.

Have you tried to get your phone into recovery, might be a bit tricky but remove the battery then hold the correct keys as you replace it to see if it picks up

Im also assuming that you have already tried with ODIN started on your PC and your phone connected by USB and then put the battery back in to see if ODIN picks it up

Another thought , rather then let the phone boot into the download mode loop that seems to be happening hold the keys yourself when you replace the battery to see if this overrides the loop

Ok, No sooner than I posted the last reply, the battery died. When the phone is plugged into the charger, it will cut on but when I go into download mode, it say that the battery is too low. I am going to purchase a new battery soon. I hope that that was the issue all along, but I doubt it. Will post once I receive the new battery.

Thanks
