Hey there fella. I turned off background sync before hand, bluetooth was not on, just wifi and full screen brightness, browsing normal PC websites and writing this thread on my desire.
I wanted to make sure that 39-40 degrees for usage like that was not excessive, which i guess it is not. I will use the AndroidPowercontrol widget to reduce to 50 percent the screen power, any less i do not like as you can not see the awesomeness of the screen. What i notice however is that according to the battery monitor in settings, is that display is counting for virtually nothing of the power consumption, my phone has been turned on for 1 hour 30 minutes with a 40 minute standby, with the remaining 50 minutes was constant web browsing at full brightness, it claims the following for power usage out of 35 percent of battery used so far.
Android System - 40 percent (?, just web browsing with 3G Watchdog, Battery indicator and Internet running)
Cell standby 20 percent (very high?)
Display - 15 percent
Phone idle - 12 percent
Wi-fi - 8 percent
Internet - 5 percent
I am charging up to full again and will run a 30 minute test at half screen power at lunch time.
