Cases in the UK

I have always had my Nexus phones naked as I like them that way. However, after a family member smashed my GNex I have decided to buy a case for the Nexus 4 the insurance company are giving me.

The thing is, I live in the UK and every time I look to buy a case that has a good review, I find it not available in the UK.

Any suggestions plrase? I do want it quite quickly!

Hi,
I'm in the UK and am having trouble finding cases too. There are some here
Google Nexus 4 Cases
but quite a lot are for pre-order or out of stock. There are some on Amazon and ebay (many shipping from US or HK) but nothing like the rage that is available in the US. Unfortunately all the ones I've looked at on US Amazon won't ship to UK (no idea why). I guess now it is available again and being bought in large numbers in the UK our sellers will catch up! I really like the Poetic bumper ones available in different colours on US Amazon but we only have grey in the UK...must be the weather!

Thank you for that link. I've ordered the ArmourDillo one, 2 Bodyguardz screen protectors and a universal car thingy.

I think I'm going to hate the case as I've always liked the naked feel of the Nexus but I really, really don't want it broken again so I've gone a bit to the other extreme!!

please let me know how you get on with all those, im concerned i can not find anything rugged enough, that isnt well too big. everything i find is either in the states or out of stock. i did like the look of Ionic GUARDIAN Armor Case it seemed nice and rugged.

i was also unsure which protectors to go for heard some good things about XO full body as well as bodyguardz. at least i think it was xo that did them, then there were the carbon fiber ones.

ive always chosen to stay away from screen protectors but i think this phone will insist i need to change that decision.

im really confused! which is made worse by being in the uk with lack of product availability.

i know i want it to be safe and preferably be able to survive the odd drop (i seem to end up with about one a year even though im paranoid), i also like things to stay pristine, and preferably not made huge by having above protection.

so advice too please! wow this wasnt supposed to be this long...

I received my Diztronics case from the US.
The first one didn't arrive so they sent me another and was received just over a week later.
Shipping is either free or cheap and the quality is a lot better (material is thicker and compresses less easily) than the cheaper cases on Amazon or eBay.

Recommend and the customer service is good as well.

i was looking at those for your exact same reasons. i wanted something soft-touchish can it can absorb shocks better but a durable type of silicon. i come from a sg2 and the sgp ultra capsule were perfect. how does your one fare?

It should pretty much be what you're looking after, it's pretty tactile in the hand but not soft like the cheaper cases. Feels very durable. I got the smoke version which goes quite nicely, and is a little transparent (the Nexus and LG logos on the back of the phone show through).

Okay, so I have now received the original Diztronic Smoke TPU case from the States.

So, I ordered one, got two!

So if anybody wants to buy it off me, PM me, otherwise eBay time. :D

One of the things I like about the screen is the tapered/ rounded edge. Do either of these cover over the edge?

yes, i've picked up a couple of nillkin cases from ebay (seller: nillkin_case) and the case clips round the sides of the phone and projects above the level of the screen to protect it from being placed screen side down.

tbh i don't know how you'd get a case to stay on the slippery b*gger without clipping round the edge of the bezel.

the fit and quality of the nillkin is excellent, i've got the flip cover and a basic hard case to choose between now.
