Help Android OS upgradation

Unfortunately, if you have the LG L45C from Net10 and try to use the update tool from LG's website, it provides you that the software cannot be updated. For some god awful reason, this is Net10's doing and I have chewed their rears becuase of it. I have had problems from not being able to update the phone when a new system comes out for it.

Even though your phone will prompt you to install new software, it will not let you as it tells you that the package is invalid.

Let me clear up the misunderstanding y'all are having:
The carriers are responsible for their own updates. They tell LG what they want changed, if anything. LG takes care of developing the software update specific to the phone. Per carriers request.
Just because one carrier upgrades some of it's phones out of the kindness of there heart's in no way require's them to upgrade all of them.
Just because one carrier upgrades some of their phone in no way requires the other carrier's to do the same.
If a carrier state's that the phone is capable of an upgrade to some Android OS, it in now way implies a promise to do so. It's a marketing tool.
The cheaper the phone plan and the smaller or weaker the carrier the more apt a carrier is to not spend their money to have LG develop a firmware upgrade. The all mighty profit margin wins out every time. If they come out with an update you will not be as inclined to by a new phone with the latest OS. Another marketing tool.
The LG Optimus Net is one of those phones that fall into that category. The one I have is another. I have the OS I have because it's a custom OS (it blows everything else out of the water, even the ICS OS).

Hope that clears up the confusion.
