Root [ROM] Negalite-Blurom | 2.95.651.5 | Virgin-Mobile/Sprint | Sense/Apex/Nova | Aroma | 08-10-2013

I set an alarm last night and it did not sound this morning. When I looked at the screen it indicated it was alarming just no sound. The volume was all the way up, and I was using a default sound, snooze. I went in and re-selected snooze as my alarm sound and it seems to be working now. Just a heads up, test the alarm before you rely on the alarm. ;)

This is a problem with HTC

I'm on R45, and I get that same Google Play error. I've also been experiencing some issues with 4G turning on. I am currently trying to figure out why my logcat isn't working. It creates empty txt files, and if I am not mistaken, doesn't it start populating the screen with logs as soon as it's running? I am sitting here looking at a blank screen with a circle that keeps going round and round and no entries are showing up. I tried it with two different log cat apps and I can't seem to capture any logs.

Does the ROM have to "give" the logs to the log app, or can the app just take them? I am wondering if BluROM has an issue sharing the log info with cat log.

EDIT: I really wanted to capture a log of the 4G issue, but I am confident that a reboot will fix any issues. The problem is, that will also make logging the issue harder as it will have to reproduce itself again.

You can enable logcat through system/etc/init.qcom.post_boot. I have it disabled for performance reasons. Strange, 4g worked fine yesterday, now nothing. I'm looking into it. Also Google Play services may have been on googles end or the timezone data I updated

EDIT: r49 just commited this morning through svn, fixes 4g :)

As you said, 4G was working fine...I used it just yesterday during my lunch break...and then today...BAM, no worky.

It still works for some, just not us haha. r49+ fixes it

A reboot fixed it for me, but I suppose it will happen again until I go to R49. Also, I've seen a few people comment on how this ROM runs hotter than others, but I never noticed until today. The upper 1/3 of my phone is considerably hotter than the rest of it. I can even feel it through a few layers of Seidio Silicone. My battery life seems rather low too as if there's a runaway process or something.

Like the idiot that I can be, I forgot to check the time in state pie chart in Kernel Tuner to see which frequencies I've been running at before I rebooted.

Last night, It dropped from 90% to 45% over about 6 hours while I slept. This is with a 3400 mAh extended battery. Today, before I left for lunch, it was in the 90% range again, and by the time I got back, it was at 49%.

It's cooled down considerably in the 10-15 following the reboot.

I'm slowly bringing things down. I have alot of performance tweaks that most other roms don't. My Rom was intended to just be pure performance, luckily for aroma and my kernel options, I'm able to have both :) If you're running warmer than you think you should, then try turning the voltage down, and make oom settings less aggresive :)

Explain what caused the bootloop? What were you doing? what mods/theme did you flash? did you start fresh, or restore data from a different rom? What kernel option did you choose?

Guys remember, you have to tell us these kinds of things so we can solve your issues.

Had a fresh install everything was fine, battery died now it's boot looped. Tried whiping cache nothing. Also let it full charge, didn't work either. Shame :\

I was going to post a screen of your fancy pants bio-clock lock circle on Sense, fancy indeed, but no SS while on lock screen :D

Only been running r50 for 45 minutes or so and have bearly touched my phone but i know its rock solid ;)

oops I meant to add that in. I need to darken the lockscreen ring a little. Does it seem out of place with the rom theme?

Honestly yes, darkening would help, but the whole theme of it just seems a bit out of place. Not a bad idea at all, nice to spice it up a bit, just seems out of place lol :D I think its the fact that its a non-functional clock

yeah I'll get something else figured out :)

Trying this ROM for the first time and holy crap is it smooth! Wasn't sure I'd ever go back to ICS daily but this may change my mind!

A couple of questions I may have missed in the thread. Can the sense weather lock screen be added to this or a clock widget like in cm 10 added to the lock screen? Also is the kill app back button setting somewhere I missed? And is it possible to remove the browser with out borking anything? Want to use one with my chrome bookmarks.

I assume you're talking about senseless? I'm not sure. If you're using sense version, You can through menu > personalize.

There is no kill app back key for sense roms that I'm aware of, but you can hold the home button til the recent apps show up, then swipe left or right to close it.

You should be able to remove the browser without losing functionality(I would make chrome default before deleting browser though).

I am guessing am senseless if I chose apex launcher yes? That was what I was trying to do. Used widget locker and got my knock screen set up like my aosp one was so good to go there. As for browser right now trying the stock browser and cmarks since chrome is such a space hog.

Getting seemingly endless Google play services has stopped warnings during app updates. Saw this posted earlier and was wondering if there is a fix?

I'm looking into it. It just started happening last night.

edit: apparently you can uninstall it and it will reinstall itself automatically without the fc

Yeah it doesn't like to be installed to /system/app. now moves to /data/app in r52+
