Root [ROM] Negalite-Blurom | 2.95.651.5 | Virgin-Mobile/Sprint | Sense/Apex/Nova | Aroma | 08-10-2013

Im new to this but i thought id share something with u guys. I to lost my wifi when updating to the r50 release today, but i was able to get it back by flashing the r48 version. So maybe it will help u guys figure out what might be the issue with the current release.
im on hboot 1.57 s-on and i have a VM ph with the 109 base, and running the 4xt recovery. keep up the good work thanks for ur time:D

Wifi is fine in 50. That would normally be kernel-side anyway, so if you do come across that problem, just flash the ButteredToasT Kernel on top of the rom with the issue(kernel link in post #2)

Same with 4g

Thanks, though. I appreciate you reporting your find. Please continue to do so :)

WiFi and 4g work on 50 for me. Just downloaded this Rom for the first time. Beautifully done!

Trying the svn thing. Have the oasvn folder in es file explorer. In it is a negalite rom file of around 1000 mb. Next to it I created another folder. Did the update and exported that to the other folder which is around 490 mb. So does this seem correct so far? Then do I zip the second smaller folder and that is what is flashed? Not moving forward till I see if this is the right path.

I apologize for not putting this comment near the link. Currently, oasvn is a non working method. It places an .Svn folder in every directory. I'm currently working on a script that will zip the folders while excluding the svn folders.

Don't checkout, use SVN update.

Haha of course! I totally spaced that out, maybe because I never need it haha.

I get the same error. Checkout works just fine. I've gotten all the way to r48 with checkout.

EDIT:

I used my laptop this morning and was able to create r53 zip file. Do you think I should delete the whole SVN folder and recreate it? Would I be able to just copy the folder over from my laptop?

This is really a crazy good ROM! So far the only thing I am missing from 4.2 is the way it did the toggles panel. But this is faster and smoother and everything works!

Is there a way to get the new Google now that has the additional widget etc? I know there is the gn for ICS thread but did not know how this version compared to the latest from there.

The screenshot feature you added isn't working for me. I enabled it in Aroma.

Also, any idea why the OTA Updater keeps trying to get me to update to r50 when I'm on r53?

I'm not sure. I know the guy who was making it work for ics moved on to jb. I'll look though

Ok. I never tested. Try adding the line to the build prop. I had it setprop in a script if the apk exists.

Also svn users should just disable ota update notifications. It just checks text for differences and not actual version number

All it does is uglify the theme, asks u to purchase premium, wont break anything

Those are some of the reasons I've been ignoring it. :(

I've just turned off "check for updates" under the HTC software in System Updates. Is that all I need to do to make it stop annoying me?

EDIT:

Negamann, I just saw the large clock widget today and it's transparent. Totally badass. Any chance of getting some transparency love with the 1X4 clock widget? How long has it been transparent? I use the smaller one, so I've never noticed the large one before.
That being said, if my background had a lot of white, or stripes and such, I may prefer a solid widget. Thankfully, I like large spans of solid colors, so transparent would suit me just fine. Or maybe, moving forward, you can incorporate an optional transparent theme (maybe you already do, I haven't dabbled in your themes yet)

You are going to continue to have problems if you use checkout for new changes. The way SVN is designed you are supposed to checkout only once and use the update function to apply any additional commits.

Looks like I may have worn out the "checkout" feature
To get things moving again, should I delete the SVN folder on my desktop PC? Would it be OK to copy it over from my laptop, or do I need to download it all again? Also, what is the signifigance of the green check marks SVN puts by each sub-folder? What about the purple/indigo question marks?

The built-in screenshot can be enabled/disabled in build.prop but requires an app and a lib module to work.

Try adding the line to the build prop. I had it setprop in a script if the apk exists.

You two may as well be speaking German :p

Can I assume the .app and lib module are included already by Aroma? Do I just need to add something to the build.prop now?
Am I looking to modify an existing line, for example, changing a 0 to a 1?
Or do I need to add a line to the build.prop? If so, what's the line? and is placement within the build.prop important for organization?

EDIT:

I've found the build.prop line from that link Ramjet gave. So I'll add it to my build.prop once I scan it to be sure it's not already there.

Green means up to date.

I don't really worry about that stuff, since everything I need is included in the post I made linked from the OP of this thread. If you you want to delve into TortoiseSVN in more detail the documentation is here.

Copying the SVN folder from one computer to another is not recommended since there are registry entries involved as well. After deleting the current folder, just create a new folder and do the checkout one time and use the SVN update function after that. This is the technique I've been using since r5 and have never had a problem with the SVN updates.

When I exported I sent it to a different folder. Do I zip that and that gives me a flash able update?

Yes, although it's easier to just click on the NegaZip exe file in the export folder and it'll create the flashable zip for you in that same folder.
OB

Yeah that is much easier and I guess just the updates so why it's smaller? The other way game me like 800mb of zip! Now, when we update does that get replaced or is that the issue negga was talking about with svn? I assuming since I gave only done it once I am fine at the moment. That gave me about a 16mb zip. Does that seem correct?

A rom zip should always be 530-540MB, if it isn't something is wrong

The thing about oasvn is for some reason it has .SVN folders in every directory. I haven't played with it to figure out how to solve the problem other than the script I was talking about. I've been busy lately, hopefully I can get something going very soon
