Why can't I email a 25 MB video via Gmail?

Says it is too big...
Is this an AT&T thing, a Note 2 thing? or a Gmail issue?

Getting kinda pissed trying to share videos via email and text on the Note 2.

The restriction on size is usually from your email supplier. So if you are trying to send through gmail then it is Google. This limit probably has nothing to do with your phone, you would have same problem sending from your PC.

25 mb is supposed to be the gmail limit. maybe you were just over.

There's supposed to be some way to go higher with drive, but it's not really a file attachment then - kind of sharing the same cloud file instead.

The easier way to share video is uploading it to youtube first. Emailing it would force the other person to download it first even if their device could play the format. Not everyone would appreciate receiving 25Mb files. Youtube allows them to steam the video even on very slow download speed.

This was the first thing I thought of... I've learned over the years that certain ISP's either won't let you upload a file that large, or your friend's ISP could have a limit on their email inbox. Here in Hawaii, Oceanic Cablevision has such a limit for example, and I think the suggestion to load a large file to youtube is a good idea. If you do, you can make it for private viewing only, and invite only the people you want to see it.

I did the same with the S Note templates for people to download and its been a godsend to do it this way, that's for sure.

I concur with Dropbox (or any file cloud storage that has no file size limit). It's much easier to just upload and then share the link for people to download.

Dropbox is also another reason I don't care for NFC file sharing. Uploading to dropbox and sharing a link takes much less time and you don't have to sit there forever, just trying to touch phones with someone to share files...LOL.
