Why did you really buy this phone?

I usually do my research, but this time I failed too and bought this crap.

Worst Android I have ever had.. only thing that made me get it was the screen size, and the funny thing is that its the screen that mostly screws this phone over.

I guess when it comes to Androids you want to stick to the name brands regardless of specs. Heck my LG Optimus M with a 3.2 inch screen and 600 mhz cpu performs 5x better than this crap.

So pissed at this phone..

I bought this phone for the following reasons:

1) I broke my Optimus M sd card door. It wouldn't hold or read any cards. (yes I threw the phone)
2) I thought it being android 2.3.7 it would be easy to root.
3) It had a large screen
4) It had a better processor
5) It was pretty darn cheap. Got it on a special for $79.
6) I need a phone for my new job.

Why I hate this phone:

1) It drops calls very often.
2) It turns off by itself, while in a call.
3) The screen get unresponsive at times.
4) It full of bloat (as usual) and updates seem to give me a lot of low space warnings.
5) It's not rootable, yet, and probably won't be


I loved this phone when I first got it, for about a week. Then I started having problems with it. I have uninstalled everything that can be uninstalled and m still on the brink of getting low space warnings. I've even moved things to the SD card (8GB), with the same outcome.

I can have the phone to my ear, while in a call, and need to look at something on the screen. when I take it away from my ear the phone turns off. This has happened 3 or 4 times.

I am going to invest in another phone and trash this one. My wife still has an Optimus M but it's starting to develop problems, so we will be getting new phones at the same time. We want android 4.0 and a large screen, with a decent processor. Thinking about the Galaxy SIII, but that's quite a bit of money to spend at once. The LG Spirit looks nice.

Checked this section everyday just to see if there was root, here it is.. im so happy right now. Waiting for it to charge up since it just died and then im going to root it.

OMG I AM JUST DROOLING RIGHT NOW THINKING OF INSTALLING ES EXPLORER AND REMOVING ALL THE BLOAT ONE BY ONE...

Hello from China!....Believe me there are much worse Android phones than a Coolpad Quattro You're kind of lucky in the States, you don't get to see most of them.

I like mine. I'm not into games or anything, so it does what I need it to do, and I have fun playing with it. Plus, I can actually watch full-length movies on it, so I'm happy.

After being able to root it, I have found new life for it. Once I took out a load of crapware, the phone became more stable and battery life increased. I haven't lost/dropped a call since then either.

So far, since the root, it's the best phone I've ever had and will do just about anything I want it to do.

I bought it for an inexpensive start on 4g, just incase there are rate hikes with the T Mobile merger, thinking the monthly price might be locked in.
I also wanted a 4 inch screen. Huge difference compared to my Ascend as far as keyboard. Big fingers & the 3.5 weren't a good match. I find myself using the web on my cell way more now.

Actually My Mom Brought It For Me For Christmas, Even Though My Dad Was Gonna Buy Me The Galaxy S2 From Boost. I Liked The Phone, But It Lags Often And I'm A Fast Texter So I Need A Pretty Fast Phone.

Anyways, One Day My Capacitive Buttons (Home, Settings, Back AND Menu) Stopped Working. So I Left It Alone. Next Thing You Know, My Screen Wasn't Responding To My Finger. So Now, It Is In My Top Drawer Collecting Dust And I Went Back To My Admire And Brought An LG Marquee From My Friend ^_^

Don't hate on the phone hate the user. I own a LG Optimus M and a Coolpad Quattro and so far Quattro beats it out of the gates short of the autofocus camera. My coolpad plays high end power hungry games, I have it fully tweaked out with about 20 games installed and about 20 apps still have 100mbs of internal storage. ADW Launcher + theme GO SMS and Contacts/Dialer. Rooted + injected DPSManager from Cyanogenmod. I play Real Boxing on my Quattro and that usually is only to tegra enabled devices only. I play 720p .MKV movies on it. I have Shadowgun and DeathTrigger installed as well runs tip top.
