Memory Loss on DamageControl

I have noticed that I only have around 25 to 30mbs of available space on my internal phone memory. This ROM has a2sd how is this possible? Some of my application will not update now like handcent. Doesn't the phone run into problems when the memory gets that low? Does anyone know of a solution to fix my problem? Thanks

yes the ROM has apps2sd.. BUT, did you repartition your sd card to use app2sd? if not, then it won't use it.

In the past it always did it as part of the ROM. And it has to work because I have more 70 apps on my phone.

it has always required that the SD card be partitioned correctly in order for it to work. there are others that have had more than 70 apps installed.. the number of apps isn't the important thing.. its the amount of free space in the internal storage.

follow these instruction to determine if you have app2sd running FAQ: Apps2sd | Information and a warning Geek For Me – Android CDMA Sprint Hero

Not to be picky, but memory is not the same as "Internal Phone Storage". I am running DamageControl 2.06 with about 17 installed apps and have 68.25MB available.

Even better than that, there was a guy (username is tkirton) that posted a mod to apps2sd that moved the dalvik-cache to the sd card too. I have about 30 apps installed now, and since I applied the patch I have about 140MB of internal storage still available. He posted the instructions in the thread for damages 2.06 ROM.
