Need Help Please. Evo 4G no rom?

I tried to root phone. i thought i did, then did ZZZVR_superwipe.zip thing from recovery and now it just boots to the unlocked screen. how do i install a rom? all i wanted to do was get free hotspot after cancelling my $29.99 a month service, now phone is stuck and will not boot up to useful state. Here is what it boots to:

fastboot usb

bootloader
reboot
reboot bootloader
power down
"after selecting fastboot usb it shows"

fastboot
recovery
clear storage
simlock
hboot usb

i can boot into recovery but dont know what to do from there. Help?

i did the toggle usb-ms from recovery, then copied the mikg rom to sd card, went back to recovery and flashed zip file from sd for mikg and it is doing something. installing the rom i assume. sorry to be soo dumb about this. its my first root.

Hello, thanks for your response. it did work and i am now enjoying the mikg rom. i got nervous, but pushed through it and learned a lot. Phone works. Love the forum. Moving forward i will post in the appropriate area. Thanks again!!!
