Ad-Blocker:
** This is Optional **

Android has a built-in ad-blocker(hosts file), which by default is empty. If thoroughly populated, it can keep your phone 99% ad free. This can help speed up your web browsing significantly since ads wont load.

---Here's a nice little package I made to update the hosts file.
---This will eliminate the need for an ad-blocker app.

** I will update this every 1-2 months or as needed. **
No need to wipe... Just flash the zip in recovery after first boot.

I hope you guys like this... Enjoy. ;)

If you like my work, spread some love and hit the thanks button. :D

Cool thanx bud nice to see some progress in this area :) now if we could just get the bootloader unlocked :)
I tried unlocking the bootloader and had a nasty brick that scared the crap out of me. lol

Will leave that to someone else to move some ones and zeros around if possible.

You should add the black status bar into this Rom! :)
I thought I would leave that for the theme. Just in case some don't want it. I like the stock, but I'll throw the black onto a theme though.

I'll try it if you mess with the Motion's bootloader :)

I'm not afraid of messing with the bootloader, I know how to erase it off my phone and still be able to unbrick :p

Just got home from work.

Gonna make a flashable bluetooth package to see if it fixes it.
Hopefully it's not dependant on the launcher or keyboard... That would suck, since I like nova & jb keyboard more.

If you need me to test it, toss me a PM bro. I'll keep my browser open and check it periodically in between Rift sessions lol.

Wow, I was hesitating to buy the Spirit, then I see this. One question though, everybody seems to be saying "sucks about the locked bootloader." I suppose I had presumed that this was needed to make custom firmwares, but looks like that is not so? What, exactly, is needed that a locked bootloader prevents? What hope is there of unlocking it? Why is it done in the first place, particularly if we can root it, and get custom firmware going anyway? Pardon my ignorance but I haven't found any place that explicitly discusses this sort of thing.

No Kernels from what I understand with a locked boot loader, ROM's and other stuff still possible to do.

+1
That is correct... We can do just about anything on this phone, but with the locked bootloader we wont get custom kernels which allow overclocking.
like from stock 1.5ghz to say 2.0ghz.

did you take out the stock backup app?
I left it in... I only slightly debloated. Didn't want to remove stuff others may like.

If you do flash this... afterwards only restore apps, call log, and messages.
Don't restore system settings from old rom to new one... could cause bugs.
I left instructions in OP.

edit: we posted at same time
