In my research into making the theme chooser work on our device I have come to a conclusion:

The work it is gonna take to make it work on our device would be better spent on porting cm10.

I say port because I don't have a box that can compile from source reliably.

I have looked for the closest device to ours and have only come up with one cm10 rom from the blade, which isn't as close as I would like but, its all I found.

I have gotten set up, but just realize that the closer the roms device is to ours, the less editing I have to do. So if you find one closer than the blade(I know) , please let me know.

With all that said, y'all know I ain't promising anything but I will keep trying since I own this device too.

Wish me luck.

Here is CWM-based recovery 6.0.3.1 (non-touch), & 6.0.3.1(touch)compiled from source for our device.
6031-non-touch
6031-touch

When you say close devices you meant same partition if so check the one they make for the motion I think they are close in partitions if is not that I will check more ok

Not so much partitions as system setup. Im realizing that the blade, even tho its zte, is not close to our device. We have a virtual sdcard in ours. I at least need a reference for that.

And for more close devices I think the zte force it have the same system spec same cpu and I think they will make one soon so that one that what I think
This one sounds good. Is this in development?

I have ported before with no release, just to see if I could, and started testing on my device. But the phone wasn't as complex as this one, and I had stable versions to use as reference.

So there is still a big learning curve for me, but I will keep trying until there is a release for this, by someone if not me.

I don't know about much easier, but I think definitely easier. The less info that has to be figured out, the better.

hey not to try to rush you or anything but i was wondering how long do you think it will take to port cm10. if you were to guess

Hard to say until I get it to boot all the way. I'm looking for partitions for device I'm porting from...haven't had much luck. Once I get that I should be able to get a tester out in a day or so. But that is just a guestimizational time framitization. Woo baby.lol
I know, not much of an answer. I am looking forward to it too.

That's a great answer, most developers get snappy when asked.

Well, everythng that I have found about bulding this from source says 64bit is required. So, I started this whole project with the understanding that I would be porting.

That being said, when the kernel source came out, I started sifting through it for information. I found that the kernel can be made with whats in the package and a few other dependencies.
To make a long story short, which I almost never do, I am now syncing to the cm repo for jb. My intent is to start the device tree and make a few files with the tools in it, but it looks like I may be able to make at least the cm kernel for our device. Also, with the info and tools in it (I have syced once but with errors but that didn't stopped me from snooping a bit before I started over) I will be able to finish this port (maybe with custom kernel, can you say overclock?) in a timely fashion. Ha-ha, you see how I gave a vague eta? I'm just amusing myself now, and after i said I would make a long story short. See how I am?

Bottom line.......things are looking up for this port so I thing I will rename this thread to CM10 Updates. What do yall think?

#uncomment next line to end babble
#ro.config.babble=o

If I hadn't of started this project, I never would have dug into my hardware to find out that I have 3 pc's with 64bit capable processors. So, you know what that means.......

That's right, The project has officially changed to CM10 from source. In the mean time, I will still be working the port for the knowledge. Already setting up build environment on 2 of the 3 pc's. Been up all night and prolly, that's right I said prolly, will be up for a while longer, so If I don't respond to threads or pm's right away, I'm prolly, did it again, asleep.

Can you tell I'm in a good mood....:D
stay groovy....won't be long now....still alil bit cuz I'm learning and all, but more lesser than It was gonna be if I had to do the whole work around with 32bit( jelly bean no likey 32bit)

You're staying positive, that's a good sign! Confident and enjoying the learning process I take it?
