Android Police: Is Sprint Already Killing The Optimus G? Signs Point To 'Maybe' http://goo.gl/mag/ElPweun

So we may get it? (Haven't read that yet btw)

In the comments they're mentioning that the Optimus G is coming to VM :D

Edit: I believe The OG will come around early summer, and the LTEVO will come around December or November. Though we might get the S3 instead of the LTEVO.

Theres a rumor that a downgraded version of the lg mach will be coming to VM at the end of quarter two of 2013; at least it will have LTE. I really hope this is mistake in model numbering, and this is actually the lg optimus g. What the hell is wrong with you VM?!

lol downgraded version of LG Mach? Isn't it downgraded enough? I'm still optimistic about the Optimus G. Timing seems about right for VM to refresh its flagship device.

Just wish they'd give us any of those HTC One devices that isn't the One V, no matter the price point. I'm sick and tired of my EVO 3D's awful camera, and overall performance is getting bogged down no matter how I try clearing the clutter from its internal and SD memory.

You need to go to the evo all things root forum and root recovery and rom. Then soff and find some good roms.

The mach looked like a pretty good phone to me (saw it on Ting's devices page) for a prepaid. Professional reviews were positive. What turned me off was seeing the lack of interest in the Mach forum here, I don't want a phone nobody else has, that died in the marketplace before it got popular.
Any bugs, you gotta figure the fix yourself. Apps won't get supported by developers. Accessories like cases, nonexistent.
There are benefits to being part of the crowd when it comes to this stuff.
Like the Motorola Triumph I have is plagued with issues, but it was so popular that when they surfaced for me the fixes were easy to find.

Do you guys even think a iPhone 5 may come to VM? If so when?

Give it at least one year.

I can see it coming since VM already has the 4 & 4s and if I were to guess I would say late spring early summer

There is no way it would come out that early. Maybe NEXT spring. It's virgin mobile. Lower your expectations.

Give it at least one year.

At the end of June it will be just under a year since the iPhone 5 was released and it will be a year since the iPhone 4s was released for Virgin Mobile, so releasing it late Spring/early Summer sounds about right.

Again, it will be a year since the iPhone 4s has been released by VM, and the iPhone 5 will be at a similar point in it's lifecycle as the 4s was when it was released. While Virgin is slow, that seems to be the point (not quite to a year old) when Virgin releases many of the former high end phones.

Six hundred dollars is the off contract price for the latest and greatest devices; who in their right mind is going to pay that much for year a old phone. That phone will be collecting dust on their shelves. Unless the phone itself IS the latest and greatest, but Sprint would lose business since 20 - 40% of Sprint customer would come to VM.

Edit: Superafnan, how's T-Mobile treating you? The data cap affecting you?

T-mobile has been great so far. It's coverage is like 2.5x bigger than sprint's footprint. Data speeds for hspa+ "4g" are around 8-13 mb Download and 1-1.5 upload. Hspa is also technically 3g but on steroids so it doesn't use up lots of battery compared to true 4G (lte). Wimax is half of it's speeds but has barely any coverage. Sprint 3g gets butchered compared to this. :)

The data cap doesn't really bother me. 5gb is plenty of data for the average user unless they decide to watch Gangnam Style daily on it.

Now that sprint is bought by softbank I hope they can eventually get lte in the same areas as 3g soon because their lte finally lives up to standard. Tmobile deployed lte as well but they don't announce cities until they're fully complete.

Virgin said it would he 10gb a while back but I don't really know because that was a while back when they attempted to throttle data now they finally can. :p

I got a text from VM after they completed the updates in my area last week and I believe it is 2.5gb now. Said they were going to throttle everyone so the bandwidth would not be overused and create problems. I believe originally they weren't going to throttle WiMax.
